Hotel Barcelona, the Bloody, Bizarre New Platformer from Suda51 and Swery, Gets a Trailer

Our friends at Sony Pictures Entertainment produce a lot of fantastic films, and today, I’m pleased to tell you about our new collaboration to provide the PlayStation community with access to some of these memorable movies on PS5 and PS4 consoles.

A new Sony Pictures app has been added to PS4 and PS5, offering free movies to PS Plus Premium and Deluxe subscribers.

Everyone loves a superhero. And One Punch Man is a superhero like no other, surpassing more than 30 million copies of the Japanese manga and becoming a cultural hit all over the world.

After the Wii’s release, we went through a period of denial. We were promised that it was motion controls – not the next generation of graphical splendor – that would carry video games into the future. But while Wii Sports was fun, we wanted to see what motion controls could do outside a set of family-friendly minigame compilations. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess didn’t make very good use of the controls, but it was really a port of a GameCube title. So, we just needed to wait a bit longer, and the vision Nintendo promised us would eventually arrive.

We've just been treated to our first look at what the game looks like, and it's a side-scrolling action game with a tongue-in-cheek vibe and, of course, plenty of bloodshed.

The newly-announced side-scrolling Soulslite is the newest game from both Hidetaka «SWERY» Suehiro and Goichi «Suda51» Suda, two developers who specialize in delightfully devilish, off-kilter games that wear their inspirations on their sleeves. SWERY's and its sequel comprise a duology of pastiche, featuring small-town murder mysteries, eccentric detectives, and old ladies with fortunetelling pots. Suda's series stars the gamer-turned-assassin Travis Touchdown, who's been known to debate the merits of with his targets before finishing them off.

Dragon’s Dogma 2, the highly-anticipated sequel, just got a lot of new footage (some of it captured in 4K) from Tokyo Game Show 2023, where the game was playable for the first time.

As part of Capcom's Tokyo Game Show presentation, we've gotten our most extensive look yet at Dragon's Dogma 2, and it's looking like exactly what I want out of a follow-up to the cult classic open-world RPG.
