This should come as no surprise for players accustomed to other HoYoverse games, as Acheron in is clearly an expy inspired by the Raiden Mei archetype from the broader series.
In, Raiden Ei (or Raiden Shogun), is the expy to ’s Raiden Mei. They share similarities in their elemental type, design, color palette, and, curiously enough even their weapon type – though Raiden Shogun carries a polearm, she draws out a powerful electric sword during her Burst.
During the main Trailblaze Quests added with Version 2.1, Acheron and Welt meet up and have an honest conversation with one another. They talk about their pasts and Welt expresses a notable understanding of who she is based on his past meetings with Raiden Mei in the universe. While Welt does not question Acheron directly about this, the 5-star Lightning does tell him that she is not who he thinks she is, meaning that she is not the Raiden Mei that Welt encountered in his adventures before the events of .
