GTA 6's main protagonist, Jason, isn't being voiced by famous voice actor Troy Baker.
That's what Baker has suggested in a recent interview with YouTuber 'The Movie Dweeb'. We've included the video with Baker talking about his role in The Last of Us HBO series and NOT voicing Jason below. In the insanely-popular first trailer for the upcoming GTA 6, we can see main protagonists Jason and Lucia with the former only saying a single word in the video - "Trust". Fans, however, have suggested that Jason's voice is Baker's. In the interview, the voice actor pointed out that literally one word has been said, and all the credit should go to the actor voicing Jason.
"He says one word! He says ‘trust’", Baker said in the interview. "That right there is a lesson in perception – people think and they just automatically assume. I want that guy, whoever it is, to credit for his work because I’m sure it’s going to be great."
In all honesty, the way Baker says "trust" in the interview is different from how Jason said it in GTA 6's trailer, and going by Baker's phrasing, don't count on it that the popular voice actor is voicing the main protagonist.
Rockstar released the first official trailer for GTA 6 late last year, and shortly after its release, the trailer surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, surpassing the all-time views of the first trailer for GTA V (which was released more than twelve years ago).
GTA 6 is planned for a release in early 2025, but analysts have suggested that the game will likely be delayed to the end of 2025. "The GTA 6 debut trailer, while exciting, did not contain elements that convince us that the game is well into alpha testing," Bank of America analysts Omar Dessouky and Arthur Chu said back in December of last year. "Moreover, it did not mention a PC version launching in 2025."

Now, the actor who played the eccentric character in GTA 5 has said that he “shot some stuff” for a Trevor DLC that never saw the light of day.
