Grand Theft Auto 6 Delay Reports Are “Overblown”, it’s Claimed

With GTA 6 now on the horizon, Grand Theft Auto Online players are sharing what they want to see from the game in a final update. While the online component of GTA 5 has given players plenty to do and enjoy over the years, there's still plenty of opportunities to expand GTA Onlinefurther and to resolve some unfinished business.

We have a strange story today about the longest running, and most successful, Grand Theft Auto game of all time.

YouTuber Andrew Levitt has perfectly remade the Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer in Miami. The official reveal trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 rocked the gaming world when it debuted in December 2023, garnering millions of views in mere hours and skyrocketing Rockstar Games' YouTube channel subscriber count to 10 million. The 90-second trailer also became the most liked gaming tweet of all time on Twitter.

Quite a few fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming launch of Grand Theft Auto VI. After all, it has been several years and even a couple of console generations that we were left with just Grand Theft Auto V. The title was only released towards the end of last year. We got our first official look into the game, and since then, we’ve been waiting in silence. While Rockstar Games is taking its time to showcase the next trailer, one YouTube channel decided to provide fans with a real-life trailer recreation. 

Developers at Dead Space remake creators EA Motive were pushing to make a "new entry" in the sci-fi horror series before EA shelved it last year, according to the latest in a recent outbreak of Dead Spacey rumours and revelations that have spread through the bulkheads of the internet, coating everybody's devices with necrotic slime.

Last night, a report claimed a Dead Space 2 remake had been in the works at EA. However, a subsequent report — which itself follows on from EA denying any such remake was in the pipeline — has poured more cold water on these initial claims. In fact, the whole series is reportedly «on ice».

Helldivers 2 was the UK’s best-selling game for the second consecutive month in March.

Prior to its announcement, reports revealed that Grand Theft Auto 6 would feature two protagonists in the form of Lucia and Jason, inspired by real-life robber couple Bonnie and Clyde, and though the game’s official announcement trailer was focused primarily on Lucia, we did also get some glimpses of her partner-in-crime.

A potential remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics has been in the rumour mill for several years at this point, and even though official word on whether or not it exists remains elusive, Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida – who’s also the director and producer of Final Fantasy 14 – has indicated that he, at the very least, is personally interested in seeing Final Fantasy Tactics be brought back.

Despite having been released on PC almost nine years ago, Grand Theft Auto V continues to be a great-looking open-world game, thanks to the tireless work of modders. Thanks to some of them, the game could easily pass for GTA 6.

One of the lead producers of the Dragon Quest series is reportedly stepping down and being moved to head up Square Enix's mobile phone division following several delays in Dragon Quest 12's development.
