Are you a Clash of Clans fan? Then, you’re in for a treat! Clash of Clans Gold Pass January 2024 has just hit the scene, and it’s awesome! What better way to start the new year than with new skins and goodies?
The star of the January 2024 Gold Pass is the King of the North Barbarian King skin. It’s a cool makeover for the Viking, with a blue robe and a hefty old axe. Along with the King, there are plenty of other skins to grab throughout the season. The Gold Pass is priced at $6.99 and offers additional in-game resources on both the Free and Premium sides for completing seasonal quests.
The Free side includes a generous package of in-game currencies (Gold and Elixir), skills along with stuff like the Clock Tower, Resource Potions and the Book of Heroes. As a Premium Gold Pass holder, you’ll get all the Free side goodies plus exclusive items like the Shovel of Obstacles, Wall Ring and the North Barbarian King Skin.
The Gold Pass also lets you unlock tons of Magic Items, such as stones. Other perks you can enjoy include Gem donation and Bigger Season Banks. With the Gold Pass, you can grow your Season Bank to get a bigger loot when the season ends.
The Gingerbread Warden Challenge lets you showcase the new Champion skin. You can also witness the hero skin in action by navigating to the in-game events section once the event is live. To know more about the event, head to the official page for Clash of Clans Gold Pass.
A boatload of events are happening in the Clash of Clans universe. From January 1 to 11, participate in Clan War Leagues, while from the 5th to the 20th, create unique bases in the Builder Base Challenge. Troop Events are going down every weekend, and Clan Games are rolling out all month. Wrapping up the month is the Gem Hero Boost, which heals up your heroes faster.

Xbox Game Pass made quite a splash in the marketplace when it arrived. This offered a wide collection of video games for players. If you’re playing on the latest-generation Xbox Series X/S consoles, chances are you might be participating in this subscription service. With a wide assortment of video games constantly rotating monthly, even if there’s no major release on your radar, you’ll likely have a few games to check out through this service. That said, two waves of game reveal posts typically come to Xbox Game Pass each month. Today, we’re getting word as to what that second wave of games is for this month.
Microsoft has announced the next wave of games coming to Xbox Game Pass, taking subscribers up to the end of January and into early February 2024.
The denizens of Frostpunk are, understandably, quite grumpy so-and-sos a lot of the time, but through their cries of "More heat!" and "Please can we not with the human waste hothouse jobs!", I reckon even they'd be quite pleased to hear that Frostpunk 2 will be heading to PC Game Pass on its day of release (with Xbox Game Pass following when it arrives on consoles). Alas, we still don't know exactly when it's coming out yet, but in the mean time, why not gather round the burning barrel of 11 Bit's very first gameplay trailer for it while we wait?
Nothing can stop your road to victory now! In celebration of its 7th Anniversary, Konami has launched an exciting new event for Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links. Time for another week desperately shovelling quotes, release dates and trailers into the Maw, our weekly news liveblog and also, an abyssal abomination poised to guzzle the waking world and all forms of existence, unless we can satisfy its hunger for headlines. The year is starting to pick up, with a few intriguing titles slated to drop this week in addition to the widely acclaimed Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, out 18th Jan, which Katharine has called "a deep and challenging Metroid-like with some of the best platforming this side of Moon's Ori games".
Giovanni is still in Pokemon Go and this boss battle is still a tricky one – especially as he changes his tactics every month. You can never just rest on your comfortable laurels when taking him on.
Welcome to another instalment of the Maw, our weekly live round-up of all things New and videogame-flavoured, as we continue our eternal efforts to appease the festering dark god of gossip and reportage. I asked the Maw if it had any 2024 resolutions last Friday, and it responded with the brain-splitting clamour of a million fell voices crying out in anguish. I have run this through our Chthonic Translator and the short version is that it wants to get down the gym now and then.
Happy new year, Polygon readers! The holiday season is behind us, and 2024 beckons.
