Gothic Remake Collector’s Edition announced

Nintendo has announced Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition for Switch. It will launch on July 18 for $29.99 via Nintendo eShop, and $59.99 as a “Deluxe Set” physical edition.

THQ Nordic is gearing up to bring back the Gothic series in the form of the Gothic Classic Khorinis Saga, which includes both the original and the classic in a handy package. The collection will feature Gothic Classic Edition and Gothic 2: Complete Edition, which will come out for Nintendo Switch on June 27, 2024.

Rainbow Cotton, a poorly remembered 3D offshoot of one of the definitive entries in the cutesy shooter canon, is somehow making a comeback in English 24 years after its original launch, and the devs have provided a helpful explainer on the differences between emulation, remakes, and remasters. Gothic fans already know the original 2001 open-world RPG is getting the remake treatment, which is expected to arrive on PS5 sometime in 2024. Publisher THQ Nordic and developer have revealed that a Collector's Edition of the game will be available, with some appropriately leather-bound goodies.

All existing and future pre-orders for Gundam Breaker 4 in the Americas will receive a free upgrade to the newly announced Launch Edition, publisher Bandai Namco and developer Crafts & Meister announced.

It's been over four years since we last covered the Gothic Remake. As you might remember, it all began with the so-called Playable Teaser that appeared suddenly on Steam in December 2019.

The original 9th Dawn is the first game ever made by Valorware, kickstarting the popular series. Though it can still be played, it’s not very user friendly due to its age. Tom Au, creator of the original and founder of Valorware, has been wanting to remake his first game for a while. He stated that the state of the first game “didn’t really capture my original vision” and is excited to present its remake. 9th Dawn Remake is a full reimagining of the original, complete with quests, loot and monster pets. Also, the game has practically been rebuilt from the ground up, offering players over 200 hours of excitement. Set to release sometime this year on Steam, the game has several new features players can look forward to.
