The latest gaming bundle from Humble features nearly every game from the Saints Row and Red Faction franchises for a paltry $10. For comparison, Steam has a similar bundle available that’s much pricier. The Plaion the Hits bundle includes Saint’s Row 2, the remastered version of Saints Row: The Third, as well as the final entry in the series and its DLC, Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell. But, for me, the real star here is Red Faction: Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered.

Red Faction Guerrilla: Re-Mars-Tered is an awesome game with a terrible title. Originally developed by Volition in 2009, then remastered in 2018, the game features many of the trappings you’d expect from an open-world title, like a map filled with odd jobs to complete. What sets Guerrilla apart, however, is its unprecedented level of destructibility, even by today’s standards.

Buildings and fortifications crumble and explode in spectacular fashion, whether that's from a well-placed demo charge, or by plowing through a load-bearing column with your trusty sledgehammer. The gameplay in the remastered version is virtually unchanged from the original, but features improved graphics and the ability to run natively at 4K. And, to cap it all off, it runs extremely well on the Steam Deck and the Asus ROG Ally.
The other entries in the Red Faction franchise included in the bundle aren’t bad, but are definitely relics of their time. The original’s Geo-Mod engine was a technical marvel back in 2001 because it allowed the player to deform terrain and structures with explosives. While the sequel from 2003 bears the mark of the “Halo killer” era of gaming, complete with on-rails turret sections, regenerating health, and dual wielding. The final entry in the Red Faction series, Red Faction: Armageddon, and its Path to War DLC offer a similar feel to Guerrilla, with plenty of destruction, but it lacks the charm.
Just like other bundles, proceeds from your purchase of this bundle will go to benefit a non-profit. In this case, they’ll go to Active Minds, a foundation dedicated to promoting mental health and wellness for young adults. Before you make your pledge, you can use the “Adjust Donation” menu to change how much of your purchase goes to Humble, the publishers, or to the charity.

Following CD Projekt RED's recent quarterly report, where we learned that The Witcher 4 (Polaris) is still in pre-production, a couple of executives were invited by the Polish financial site StockWatch to answer a few questions.
@AgentCooper Physical for single-player games, digital for multiplayer games as I just can't be bothered constantly switching carts whenever I play with my friends as I always have something else that I'm playing in the game slot.

Amazon is selling a two-pack of SanDisk microSD cards for $25 as part of the company’s Big Spring Sale. Each card is 128GB, totaling 256GB of sweet, sweet game storage. These are drives that have been designed and pre-formatted for Nintendo Switch systems, though they’ll work with just about any microSD reader. This deal, however, is only for Prime members.
Yeah, I think that’s what the implication is but there nothing concrete to know for sure. In all honesty, it may well just be Miyazaki being fast and loose with the lore and in terms of details that even he hasn’t got clear in his own head.
@oliverp Glad you enjoyed Crysis 2, an underrated game imo. I did see the trilogy on sale the other week for £10 on PSN and I was really tempted as I wish to play the trilogy again but i really want the physical version which is still (comparatively) expensive.
I also ended up beating Need for Speed Most Wanted 2005 today! Pretty good game, much more user-friendly than Underground 2 but it sacrifices the vibes. This game is the definition of piss filter. Pretty ugly but the cars handle decently. The pursuits are almost fun but border on the frustrating due to tiny mistakes or being unlucky causing you to fail. Decent though in general.
@BeerIsAwesome Belated congratulations on your impressive milestone, both in terms of platinum trophies and the Sonic series. Really hope you enjoyed the endeavour. Here's to Sonic X Shadow in a few months, and what'll hopefully be another 33 years of going fast.

Embark Studio releases Update 2.1.0 for The Finals, further fleshing out the Private Match mode, fixing a ton of recent bugs, and making other general improvements to the rest of the game. Season 2 of The Finals has seemingly given new life to Embark's online shooter, a game which saw massive growth out of the gate but had started to experience a lot of drop off from players. However, season 2 provided a big refresh to the core experience, and so far, seems to be a hit with fans.
