A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed more information about a new type of Abyss that will arrive in the upcoming Version 4.7. The game features a tight update schedule that frequently introduces tons of new content, including new characters, weapons, artifacts, and regions.
However, for years, Genshin Impact players have been asking HoYoverse to introduce new types of permanent content that is not tied to a limited event arriving with a new update. According to recent leaks, Travelers will finally have the option to enjoy a new domain that closely resembles the game's most famous instance.
The Spiral Abyss domain consists of 12 levels, also known as floors, that feature multiple chambers. Each chamber has enemy waves that players need to beat within a certain time frame to collect precious rewards, including Primogems. A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed that HoYoverse will add a new type of Spiral Abyss that will contain eight floors, and completing them will grant 600 Primogems. Adding a new Abyss will allow players to acquire a sizable amount of free Primogems that can be used to pull for their favorite characters. However, some comments have pointed out that the new domain could alternate with the current Abyss every 15 days, which would not come as a surprise considering that Genshin Impact's current Spiral Abyss resets on the 1st and 16th of each month.
This would mean that the number of free Primogems acquired through this domain would be locked at 1200 per month. Some Travelers have pointed out that even if these predictions are true, they would still welcome a change to the way this domain works. A couple of comments have suggested that HoYoverse should make even more adjustments like expanding or reducing the number of characters that can be used in a Genshin Impact team composition.
In a previous Genshin Impact leak, a reliable source named Fy Leaks expressed that players' opinions about the new Abyss could be divided, as some will like it while others will hate it. This may be another indication that the new piece of content could be just another alternate Spiral Abyss domain similar to how Honkai: Star Rail rotates the Pure Fiction and Memory of Chaos domains, meaning that Travelers won't get any additional free Primogems.
Recent rumors have also revealed that update 4.7 may introduce three new playable characters: Clorinde, Sigewinne, and Sethos. Both the character and the new domain rumors should still be taken with a grain of salt, considering that Genshin Impact Version 4.7 won't arrive before June, which means that HoYoverse still has time to make additional changes.
