First person magic shooter I mmortals of Aveum launches today. Ascendant Studios combines first-person shooter action, fantasy, and magical mechanics in its first big release.
The game features a world where the Everwar has been taking place for a long time, forces are dwindling, and the Immortals are elite battle mages who are fighting in the Everwar in an effort to defeat Sandraak, a powerful warlord on the other side who has been decimating the other forces. Enter Jak, who is caught in the middle of the war because of his special talents.
He is known as an Unforeseen, because he can wield all three colors and types of magic. There are three magic colors in the game–blue, green, and red–and Jak can learn to master them all. He is recruited by General Kirkan, played and voiced by actress Gina Torres, to the Immortals, and just might be the key to a possibility of victory.
As Jak, you'll get to explore the world's different biomes, from forests to snowy peaks, in addition to exploring RPG content, side quests, boss fights, and of course, the game’s core story.
Along the way, you’ll also get to solve puzzles and train in the three magic types. This, of course, will let you unleash those magical powers FPS style. In fact, you'll have to master those magic types in order to give the Immortals a chance to defeat the warlord. There are over 25 spells to learn, including how to combo, counter, and also supplement this learning with over 80 talents. you'll be able to build jack up in a way that suits your own playstyle as well as learning within the magic-based fantasy system.
This is a genre blending game made by an independent team that features a number of Industry veterans. published under EA's EA Originals label. Immortals of Aveum is now available on PC ( via Steam, EA App, and Epic Games Store) Xbox Series X | S, and PlayStation 5.
