Hands-on impressions for Turn 10 Studios’ Forza Motorsport are coming on September 11th, but that’s not all. The developer has announced the next edition of the Forza Monthly livestream for the same date at 9 AM PDT. There are no further details, but perhaps we’ll see more of the +100 new cars in action.

Microsoft has announced a number of new Forza Motorsport details to coincide with the start of Gamescom in Cologne this week.
In a blog post on Xbox Wire, Forza Motorsport creative director Chris Esaki said Turn 10 Studios is committed to “delivering ongoing content monthly post-launch”.
He revealed that the Nürburgring GP circuit will be available in the game when it’s released, and that the Nordschleife track will be coming in spring 2024.
“Both tracks have been completely rebuilt for the Xbox Series X/S and PC,” Esaki said.
Following a delay from its previously planned spring launch window, Forza Motorsport will be released on October 10, although the Premium Edition of the game comes with up to five days of early access.
PC players can pre-order the game on the Microsoft Store and starting today, on Steam too.
Forza Motorsport will support cross-play and cross-progression across PC and console, and the game will also be playable on Xbox One as a cloud version.
“We’ve optimized Forza Motorsport to look and play great across a wide range of PCs, taking advantage of cutting-edge PC hardware and technologies with real-time ray tracing on-track and maximum performance enabled by NVIDIA DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2.2,” Esaki said. “We will continue to optimize and improve Forza Motorsport on PC after launch
“Forza Motorsport on PC supports native resolutions up to 4K and beyond, including ultrawide resolutions during on-track gameplay, HDR calibration, shader pre-compilation and pre-caching, DirectStorage for improved CPU loading, unlocked single-player framerates with or without V-Sync enabled, and more.
“In addition to native support for popular racing wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec, Forza Motorsport supports the DirectInput API on PC. This allows players to plug in and play with a much wider range of hardware than before.”
The game will support input remapping, enabling players to customise the button layout of controllers, mouse and keyboard, steering wheels and flight sticks.
“Forza Motorsport also features rumble vibration on Xbox controllers and improved force-feedback for wheel users,” Esaki said. “The game takes advantage of advanced wheel features to display RPM, shift lights and race data on custom screens.”

Forza Motorsport is Car Porn at its Best | gamescom 2023
When I saw Forza Motorsport at Summer of Gaming a couple of months ago, I came away a little disappointed. Forza’s pedigree of having some of the most gorgeous visuals of any racing game is well known, and while the latest iteration of Motorsport undoubtedly looked good, it lacked polish at the time. So as a long-time Forza fan I’m pleased to say that Turn 10 has done a lot of work and after a behind-closed-doors demo at gamescom showing the game on the Xbox Series X, I walked away happy. Forza is definitely on track.
