Forza Motorsport’s Next Update Will Add Daytona International Speedway

Forza Motorsport's upcoming update is a big one, introducing several performance optimizations for the racing game's PC version.

Turn10 has provided insights into the forthcoming Patch 5.0 for Forza Motorsport, scheduled to be released next month. This update is anticipated to bring significant enhancements to the PC version of Forza Motorsport, with a primary focus on improving performance.

While there’s certainly something to be said about Turn 10’s overreliance on temporary, live-service content in Forza Motorsport, the studio has been adding lots to the game post-release. All-new tracks are usually the highlights of their respective updates, and Update 5’s Nürburgring Nordschleife will be no different.

Turn 10 Studios has confirmed in the latest Forza Monthly that Nordschleife will be coming to Forza Motorsport in February. The 20.83-kilometre-long track is part of Update 5, which includes numerous fixes and improvements for the game.

Apple plans to introduce significant changes to the iOS App Store, allowing users to download apps from third-party sources. The company is reaching a deadline imposed by the EU under the Digital Markets Act, which requires the company to allow the installation of apps from outside the App Store. The monster-catching survival sim continues to set concurrent play records on Steam, and Pocketpair are presently focussed on fixing bugs. Beyond that, though, the sky appears to be the limit, as you might expect of a game that shifted a million copies in eight hours. In particular, Pocketpair seem markedly more confident about the odds of adding PvP to the game, having downplayed the idea in interviews before release.

Rock Band 4’s weekly song DLC release will be coming to an end on January 25th, bringing an end to a service that has been running for 8 years. According to Harmonix, over 3000 songs have been added to the Rock Band 4 catalogue. Nothing else will stop for the game with all other live services continuing including Rivals and online play.
