Fortnite players think that one of Chapter 5's new gameplay mechanics, the Medallions you get from defeating bosses, aren't even worth the trouble of picking up.

Fortnite fans are calling for Epic Games to give the infamous Goku skin a long-awaited redesign, especially since the rest of the game's anime skins look so great.
One of the things that has made Fortnite stand out so much since its Battle Royale mode took the world by storm is its plethora of crossovers with pretty much every series and IP you can think of. Yes, even Peter Griffin from Family Guy. Most of these crossovers look spot-on to the source material, but there's one big character who everyone agrees needs a redesign - Goku from Dragon Ball Z.
That's right, one of the biggest crossovers that Fortnite has ever had and one that every anime fan had been asking for since Fortnite started getting big is the one that looks the worst. The strangest thing about it is that it's not obvious why Goku looks so off - he just does. Something about his eyes, neck, and mouth doesn't look right when compared to his look in the anime, and even the design used in his Fortnite profile picture.
Goku's strange look has been a problem since the skin was first added to Fortnite last year, but it's something that Epic has never addressed and doesn't look likely to do so soon. Over on the Fortnite subreddit, Redditor MakaveliDior19 complained about the skin and asked when Epic is finally going to "stop playing" and make some long-needed adjustments to it.
This is far from the first time that Fortnite fans have been annoyed about some of the game's Dragon Ball content, as most of them also thought the Kamehameha ability was overpowered.
While pointing out how weird Goku looks, MakaveliDior19 shared a fan edit of the skin that makes it look a whole lot better than the one currently in Fortnite with just some simple tweaks to the face. In the comments, players are pointing out that it really is that simple, and that Epic could easily just swap over Goku Black's skin, which looks a lot closer to the real Goku, over to the regular one and it'd be a big improvement.
There's no word on whether Epic will bother going back to a skin that has already sold gangbusters, but it's worth noting that it is adding Cell and Frieza to the game in the near future, which means that it's clearly still got Dragon Ball on the brain.

Vaults in Fortnite have always been a great way to get access to copious amounts of weapons, ammo, and loot. Now, if only they were out in the open.
The head of Harmonix, the studio behind Fortnite Festival, has confirmed that it plans to add "many hundreds" of free new songs to the mode every year.
Epic Games just sent out the latest Fortnite player survey and it hints at possible collaborations with some highly-requested series like Five Nights at Freddy's, The Boys, and even some Nintendo properties.
Lego Fortnite has confirmed that the highly-requested steering wheel piece is coming to the game in the future, which should allow players to move the vehicles and structures they create.
Fortnite is the surprise hit of the winter gaming season. Although the battle royale game has maintained popularity for several years, it’s now seeing yet another massive surge in interest. Last week, Epic Games released several new modes that bring entirely different kinds of games to Fortnite. Among the additions is a rhythm game called Fortnite Festival. In it, players can form bands with others while playing as Fortnite characters. Now, players are using it to create the most absurd bands possible and share clips online as characters like Goku, Peter Griffin, Kratos, and Gojo hit the stage.
Fortnite Festival — the game's new rhythm-based mode developed by Rock Band studio Harmonix — will let you use your plastic guitars and drums in the future.
Wanting a piece of the Minecraft pie, Epic has teamed up with some iconic Danish toymakers to create their own flavour of a blocky open-world survival game and to help you jump in, we’ve got how to play LEGO Fortnite and if it is a separate game explained.
Fortnite’s long-awaited Chapter 5 will revamp the release’s traversal gameplay, while adding some headline new features, including a train and the ability to customise your weapon. All of this has been teased as part of a new trailer, which also shows off some previously leaked Battle Pass skins, including Solid Snake and Peter Griffin.
Gone are the days of scrounging up loot at dilapidated taco joints and rusty playgrounds in Fortnite. Epic Games released a massive new update to the battle royale game this week as part of Chapter 5 Season 1. The patch literally blew up the OG map with a meteor, replacing it with an entirely new, much fancier map. Instead of rough locales like Greasy Groves or Tomato Temple, players now explore palatial manors like Lavish Lair or the manicured vineyards of Pleasant Piazza. Fortnite is basically a fancy European vacation now, and it feels a bit outside my personal budget.
Epic Games wasn't resting on its laurels, it would seem, as following on from the dizzying heights of Fortnite OG, it has given us what we all wanted and put Peter Griffin in Fortnite — and we’ve got where to find him and how to get the skin explained.
Fortnite's big Chapter 5 update has strangely made a lot of its characters look a lot angrier, as it's removed smiling faces for anyone with default animations.
