Even before Rockstar officially gave players a look at Grand Theft Auto 6, there were many rumors that the next entry in the infamous open-world crime series would return to Vice City, which serves as the GTA universe’s version of Miami. Grand Theft Auto 6 will take players to Leonida, the Florida-inspired state that Vice City is located in, and sure enough, an alternate universe version of the troubled town could be seen in the game’s trailer.

GTA 6 is taking us back to Vice City, which means we'll be stepping foot into Rockstar's rendition of Miami, Florida. And it isn't shying away from that fact, parodying a bunch of viral videos and real-life characters to make it even more authentic. However, one has taken offense to being featured - the Florida Joker.
Originally, he demanded $2 million in compensation for his likeness (the unique tattoos and dyed hair) but quickly upped that number to $5 million at the threat of legal action. The deadline he gave was January 11, which is just three days from now. But as reported by Insider Gaming, the Florida Joker is threatening to take things further if Rockstar fails to meet his demands.
18-year-old Lapsus$ hacker Arion Kurtaj was recently sentenced to life in hospital until he is "no longer a danger". He hacked into Rockstar while on bail, using an Amazon Firestick, his hotel TV, and a mobile phone, stealing 90 clips of GTA 6 before circulating them online far in advance of the official announcement.
"GTA, we gotta talk," the Florida Joker said. "This is a reminder for the final warning. I keep getting harassed wherever I go. I can't even eat a goddamn pizza without someone asking, 'Can I have a picture, Mr. GTA Joker?' No, you can't have a picture. Anyways, for a whole month, I've been giving y'all free publicity. I want my money.
"My birthday is January 11, if you do not contract me three days after my birthday, I want $10 million. $10 million for my suffering and pain, defamation of a character. Stop playing with me. When did GTA ever make the news? Never. And you're not gonna lock me up GTA. You ain't gonna put me in no psych ward. Keep playing with me - I'll go break that kid out the psych ward right now, show you the real Joker. We gonna hack your system again."
Rockstar's depiction is most likely protected by parody law, so it's unlikely that it will meet the Florida Joker's demands. Regardless, he claims that he will be taking legal action if he is not paid in three days.
Roger Clark, who played Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, recently made a stitch to one of the Florida Joker's videos to give him some advice, telling him that Rockstar is "lawyered up" and knows "exactly what they can and cannot get away with." He argued that the Florida Joker should instead "use the notoriety they just threw your way to your advantage".
