Florida Joker Wants To Voice Grand Theft Auto 6 Character

Grand Theft Auto fans waited years for an official reveal of the next game. After an unfortunate leak for Rockstar Games, fans were given a small look into Grand Theft Auto VI. However, it wasn’t until December last year that Rockstar Games offered their first trailer announcing the game and highlighting the protagonist. Today, a discovery has fans hopeful a second trailer is coming sooner rather than later.

Following the company’s fiscal year 2024/2025 earnings report, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick provided some updates on Grand Theft Auto 6. Currently planned to launch next year, he clarified that it’s unlikely to arrive before April 2025. Considering the massive buzz for the title, with over 174 million views to date, how did Zelnick feel about the trailer leaking beforehand?

Upon its long-awaited announcement in December, Grand Theft Auto 6 was handed a 2025 launch window, and in its recent quarterly fiscal report, Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive reiterated that window, but when exactly in 2025 will the game be releasing? Judging by Take-Two’s revised bookings forecast for fiscal year 2024/25, the game might not release until at least April 2025.

Grand Theft Auto 6 is officially set to launch sometime in 2025, which means we’re still a ways off from getting our hands on it yet, but given the magnitude of the release and just how long the wait for it has been, there’s no shortage of anxious fans who’re wondering when exactly in 2025 the game will launch. And for now, Take-Two Interactive – the parent company of GTA developer Rockstar Games – has no concrete answer to that question.

There have been several anticipated game releases but Grand Theft Auto VI might easily overshadow them. This is a game installment fans have been waiting years to receive. Lawrence Sullivan, better known as the Flordia Joker, has been in the news a lot recently. Since then, Sullivan has demanded compensation in the millions from Rockstar, but so far, he hasn't even had a response.

Sullivan’s mugshot went viral in 2017 due to his facial tattoos baring a resemblance to The Joker of DC Comics fame, and he would gain newfound infamy shortly after Rockstar released the first trailer for the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto 6 back in December. Included in this trailer was a brief shot of a similarly tattooed criminal being taken to court, and Sullivan quickly accused Rockstar of stealing his look.

The juggernauts that are Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 just refuse to stop selling. The former is more than a decade old, while the latter launched nearly six years ago, but as is usually the case, both were, once again, big sellers for Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two Interactive during 2023’s final quarter.

Take-Two’s CEO Strauss Zelnick has recently commented on the GTA 6 trailer leak, revealing that it was a disappointing event, but it did not hurt the development team. Grand Theft Auto 6 is one of the most eagerly awaited games in the world right now, and this is the first time the CEO has publicly revealed his thoughts about the leak.
