Lawrence Sullivan, better known as the Flordia Joker, has been in the news a lot recently. It all kicked off when the trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6 dropped, clearly referencing his unique appearance. Since then, Sullivan has demanded compensation in the millions from Rockstar, but so far, he hasn't even had a response.
Now, Sullivan is trying a different approach. He says he's happy to drop the legal threats, as long as he's allowed to be a voice actor in GTA 6 - and get paid for his time, of course. His new request comes from a TikTok video, in which Sullivan once again tries to speak to Rockstar and Take-Two directly.
"GTA, Rockstar, Take-Two, we've got to talk," says Sullivan, in a video spotted by IGN. "I'm not suing y'all no more, but y’all still out your goddamn nuggets. It's been two whole months, two months, y'all still haven't reached out to me, haven’t DM’d me. Let's do what's right."
Sullivan continues, making his new pitch to Rockstar. "Show me like $50,000, $100,000. Let me voice the character, let me go to the meet-and-greets when the game is released, sign, take pictures with the fans. Come on man".
For whatever reason, Sullivan appears to believe that he will be an actual character in GTA 6. However, his appearance in the GTA 6 trailer only appeared to be part of a montage that referenced several viral videos and stories from Florida. It doesn't seem that any of them will be actual characters, with Sullivan's sort-of cameo just setting the tone.
Sullivan's belief that there will be a major NPC that's inspired by his own appearance might explain why he's been so vocal about receiving compensation from Rockstar. Soon after the trailer went live, Sullivan demanded $2 million from the studio, which he increased to $5 million in a "final warning". We now know this was, in fact, not his final warning. Since then, he's also threatened to break the Rockstar hacker out of the hospital he's being held in if he isn't given $10 million.
Now, the amount of money he's asking for has come down considerably, and he's willing to work for it. It remains to be seen if Rockstar bites, although given what a mess it's all been so far, we imagine the company will steer clear.

The Coen brothers’ filmography is tragically straight. Acclaimed for their stylistic breadth and wit, their films are rich and willing to play with gender roles in ways that welcome queer readings — the screwball hijinks of The Hudsucker Proxy and the winking choreography behind Channing Tatum’s dance numbers in Hail, Caesar! are among the many playful flourishes where the space between quirk and intent are as wide as the viewer wants it to be.
Grand Theft Auto 6 could be getting some star power from ScHoolboy Q, a rapper whose music has been featured in past GTA games. Grand Theft Auto 6 is easily one of the most highly-anticipated games in recent memory, and shockwaves were sent across the internet when Rockstar finally gave fans their first trailer of the new entry late last year. Since then, GTA 6 has been shrouded in mystery, with plenty of rumors and speculation about its story and Florida-based Leonida setting.
Road House, the reimagining of the riotous '80s cult classic, isn't going to pull its punches, with star Jake Gyllenhaal even going as far as saying the action scenes are filmed "in a way that has never been done before."
In the upcoming Road House – a reimagining of the 1989 favourite starring Patrick Swayze – UFC plays a key part. Jake Gyllenhaal’s lead character, Elwood Dalton, is a mixed martial artist with a background in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. And, making his acting debut in the film is Conor McGregor, the Irish former UFC champ known as much for his trash talk as his skills in the octagon.
We have seen so many space movies with scientists and astronomers travelling to space and building a home with their families. However, a Florida-based company called Space Perspective is going to make the fictional space film into reality by showcasing its luxury space capsule with amenities that will simply blow your mind. While the capsule aims to take humans to the edge of space, the trip can only be afforded by the super-rich. Also, the capsule will not include a rocket flight but it will use a space balloon. Sounds interesting, right?

Before the long and arduous road to GTA 6 continues, moderators on the game's subreddit have attempted to crack down on the swamp of shitposts that have become more and more common in recent months. But the attempt doesn't seem to be massively successful.
Since its inception, Grand Theft Auto has always built itself on humour. In the 2D days that was the simple, darkly funny premise of mowing down pedestrians – the stuff that fuelled Carmageddon’s popularity and notoriety. In the years since, the jokes have become more sophisticated, building into a blunt satire of the United States of America.
