Fallout: London – the upcoming mod for Fallout 4 – is one of the most ambitious fan-made projects we’ve seen in some time. Now, as development continues, the team has shared a new update video, which outlines what else is coming.
The progress video on YouTube opens with voice actress Letitia “LetitiaTHELemon” Lemon saying that it’s getting harder to conceal spoilers as “things start working towards wrapping up.” We also get a glimpse of a ruined version of Bromley, a large town within Greater London.
There’s some other sneak peeks as well, including some dangerous apex predators that stalk the streets, as well as a gang that’s been inspired by Peaky Blinders.
The mythical creatures that prey on wanders are called Dryads (I think I’m spelling that correctly) and have a slight appearance of the Spriggan from The Elder Scrolls games.
As for the Vagabonds, this is a new gang that’s been added into the Fallout mod that rules Bromley, with a look about them that’s been lifted from the hit TV show starring Cillian Murphy. They inhabit the Swan and Mitre, a dilapidated pub that’s been modelled after the real one.
All these teases for Fallout: London have been whetting the appetite of fans who’ve been keen to play the mod in its final form. However, there’s still no confirmed release date as of yet, but it sounds like we’re getting close to one. We know it’s aiming to launch in 2023, so we could see it arriving within the next couple of months. But that’s only speculation at this stage.
You can read more about what this Fallout 4 project is actually about on the website. The team is always looking for volunteers to help with the project.
