Fallout 76’s recent Inside the Vault announcement states that the titular live service game is bringing a plethora of new updates and events for its dedicated fanbase. They are urging players to get the public test server setup so they can take part in exterminating some bugs (not just radroaches).
Mark your calendars for December 5th, as Fallout 76 unveils the Atlantic City – Boardwalk Paradise. Bethesda’s next big update promises new locations, factions, quests, enemies, and rewards. The Atlantic City update is so extensive that it's being released in two parts, and will need ample testing to get the update in ship shape.
Starting October 3, players can get a sneak peek of the Atlantic City content on the Public Test Server. However, don’t think that your expedition to Atlantic City will be all fun and games, as the developers are keen on gathering feedback on the early game experience for newcomers. Hence, from September 28th, the Public Test Server will be accessible to all PC players who have a Fallout 76 copy on Steam. The playtest will focus on the experience of a fresh character emerging from the Vault – but when October 3rd rolls around, the PTS will feature not only the Atlantic City content but also a new feature that will allow players to alter the weather conditions in their C.A.M.P.
Many players have been clamoring for more expeditions and content ever since the release of The Pitt in September of 2022. With the upcoming update, Vault Dwellers are getting exactly what they want! Fans subscribed toBethesda’s YouTube channel should look forward to Developer Deep Dives on October 2 and October 5 outlining what they can expect. If you're not on YouTube, don't fret too much as we will have plenty of coverage to summarize what you’ve missed.

Diablo 4's loot is good now, and Blizzard's president really wants you to know it.
Halo Infinite Season 5 is set to include the return of the shooter series’ most iconic armor set ever: Master Chief’s shining green and orange mantle. That’s right, the Mjolnir Mark V armor from Halo: CE is coming to the free multiplayer shooter for the game’s 22nd anniversary, but, unfortunately, it’s going to cost you.
Fallout 76 began in the humble hills of Appalachia, but as the game continues, Bethesda is taking players to new locales through Expeditions. The first Expedition took place in The Pitt, a post-apocalyptic take on Pittsburgh that first featured in Fallout 3. The second Expedition is heading to Atlantic City in a two-part update. There, players will be forced to contend with new factions and enemies… when they’re not enjoying some downtime in a high-class casino.
Starfield has been out for about six weeks, and as the dust settles on the honeymoon period, some players are finding that the spacefaring RPG just doesn't have the staying power of Bethesda's previous games, most notably Skyrim.
Red Dead Redemption 2 could have gone on forever. Like GTA 5, which has enjoyed a lifespan of more than ten years thanks to Grand Theft Auto Online, the world of RDR 2 is so rich, so full, that we could have been a hootin’ and a hollerin’ with new material and DLC for years. Sadly, that seems ever more unlikely. With official GTA 6 news still absent, Rockstar is once again selling the Red Dead Redemption 2 Halloween Pass 2, the same one that we got in 2021 and again in 2022. The world of Arthur Morgan and John Marston is truly coming to an end.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is in trouble. This is the prevailing sentiment regarding the still-dominant studio’s output of late. Phases Four and Five, as they’re called, have underwhelmed critics, floundered at the box office, and generally struggled with a sense of directionlessness that contrasts with the methodical plotting of the MCU’s first decade. There’s a bit of irony to all this disarray, because the current MCU era is about the Marvel Cinematic Universe falling apart.
As author Robert Jordan observed, the Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass. The same is true of prestige TV shows, including Amazon Studios’ Wheel of Time adaptation, which just wrapped up its second season. Ostensibly, the focus of season 2’s finale, “What Was Meant to Be,” is protagonist Rand al’Thor (Josha Stradowski) taking yet another step toward embracing his destiny as world messiah/destroyer the Dragon Reborn.
Teyon and Nacon's forthcoming 80s sci-fi FPS Robocop: Rogue City has a demo, allowing those who wouldn't even buy it for a dollar to spend an hour or two in the game's crime-ridden Old Detroit, fighting crime.
In the annals of Mortal Kombat history, Stryker stands out not for his prominence but for his successive series of blunders and near-misses. Easily one of the least esteemed characters, he ranks alongside the likes of Darrius, Jarek, Reiko, and Mokap.
I was very pleasantly surprised when 3D Realms announced in January 2020 that a remaster of the 1999 FPS Kingpin: Life of Crime was in the works. It's not an especially well-known shooter, but I have fond memories of its extreme violence, grimy ambience, endless profanity, and overall sense of silliness—it's a game that aspired to be as over-the-top as possible on all fronts. Alas, the release was delayed in November of that same year, after which it fell off the radar completely.
