A free update has been announced for that's going to make it better than ever. The last main single-player entry in the franchise, was released to critical acclaim back in 2015 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and while it's available via backward compatibility on the current generation of consoles, many have hoped it would get an upgrade that optimized the newer hardware like many other titles from the last console generation.
As announced on Bethesda Game Studios' official X account, this will finally be coming on April 25th. Native applications are being launched digitally for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and those who already owned the game on PS4 and Xbox One will receive a free update when they boot up their games in their current-gen devices on this day.
This update will add new Performance mode and Quality mode settings across all platforms, as well as stability improvements and fixes to allow the game to run at 60 FPS with increased resolutions. PC players will also be treated to widescreen and ultra-widescreen support, with further fixes to the Creation Kit, and updated quests. The game will also become "" on the Steam Deck due to the new stability features.

All this extra content certainly should be enough to entice players to revisit the Wasteland in on April 25. This update couldn't have come at a better time either, with the TV show on Amazon Prime releasing to tremendously high praise from both critics and fans, which will probably encourage an entirely new audience to pick up the game.
