An Elden Ring modder has taken the game's hardest boss, Malenia, Blade of Miquella, and put her inside fellow FromSoftware title Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
As reported by PC Gamer, Gūyǐng Zhòng's Land of Reeds: Emptiness mod on NexusMods adds the infamous Elden Ring boss to Sekiro alongside Dark Souls' Artorias the Abysswalker and Dark Souls 3's Slave Knight Gael.
YouTube user Ongbal showcases the mod in action, and while it's seemingly a little tricky to get running properly and still has some issues in-game, it does have Malenia working for the most part in Sekiro's unique combat style.
This means the boss battle features a posture bar alongside her standard health bar, which can be built up by deflecting Malenia's various attacks as Sekiro. The fight also features two resurrection nodes, indicating the two stages Malenia has in Elden Ring, and even has a proper deathblow animation.
Despite looking promising, the mod does not working perfectly just yet. "The hitbox and deflect timing are oddly inconsistent and there were often awkward interactions," Ongbal said. "Nevertheless, it's still amazing that other FromSoftware bosses were ported to Sekiro with such high quality."
Malenia quickly drew attention as the toughest boss in Elden Ring, with all sorts of storylines emerging from the fight. Developer FromSoftware didn't help the situation by removing a popular way to defeat her soon after launch and a glitch made her ridiculously overpowered.
Other mods have even pitted Malenia against every other boss in the game (it didn't end well for most of them) and also turned every enemy in the game into Malenia. Yikes!
To balance the universe, however, a hero emerged to put Malenia in her place. Elden Ring's most legendary player, Let me Solo Her, would appear in players' games to take Malenia down single-handedly, and has now done so more than 1,000 times.

But now imagine two (or more) mecha-besties zooming about and making things go boom together. Cooperatively. That’s what one upcoming Armored Core 6 mod aims to enable, and it’s coming from the modder who brilliantly implemented co-op in both Elden Ring and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
