will be getting another Dune collaboration this week in the form of a new event as well as two new Operator skins based on Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler‘s characters.
Beginning today, players can head into the item store on Call of Duty to check out a new skin based on Paul Atreides (Chalamet), while the Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen (Butler) skin will become available this Saturday, December 16. Both character will prominently appear in the upcoming film Dune: Part Two.
Similar to other premium Operator skins found in the game, the bundles will cost 2,400 COD Points ($19.99) each. Each character is modeled after the actor that’s portraying them, and will also include a handful of cosmetic items for in-game weapons.
Dune is also taking over the world of Call of Duty in the form of a new in-game event, Dune: Trial of Power. This new event will task players with completing certain in-game objectives, and reward special Dune-related in-game items like calling cards, emblems, XP tokens, and other items.
Players who own and use the Paul Atreides Operator skin will get boosted XP during the Dune event as well.
This isn’t the first time that Dune has landed in the world of Call of Duty. Prior to the two new skins and in-game event, a Dune Operator skin based on the Sardaukar faction was available last month.

With Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War rumored for next year and a direct sequel to Black Ops 2 set for 2025, it’s perhaps unsurprising that Infinity Ward is working on the next Modern Warfare. Insider-Gaming’s Tom Henderson reported that the studio is “already well into development” on the next title.

The former NPD Group (now named “Circana”) has released its full North American sales data for November, typically the biggest gaming month of the year, and surprisingly, the results weren’t that great. Players spent $5.9 billion on games, additional content, and hardware in November, a 9 percent year-on-year decrease. This was largely driven by a 24 percent drop in hardware spending, with all consoles being down double digits year-on-year. The PlayStation 5 was the #1 console, followed by the Xbox Series X/S, with the Switch really dropping off this season. It seems like inflation, and rumors that a new Switch is right around the corner, likely impacted hardware sales this year.
