Popular streamer Dr. Disrespect is heavily criticizing Activision in response to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's recent «Blaze Up» event, directly insulting the developers. Dr. Disrespect has long been one of the most outspoken creators within the online gaming space, gaining success for his skill at shooters like Call of Duty. Dr. Disrespect has built up a streaming empire that has seen him release a book, collaborate with the NFL's San Francisco 49ers, and even start his own video game studio in Midnight Society. Now, Dr. Disrespect has some choice words for Activision.
Activision recently unveiled its «Blaze Up» event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, featuring a plethora of new cosmetics themed around marijuana. The event is set to celebrate the «4/20» holiday on April 20, an unofficial holiday celebrated by marijuana enthusiasts. The Modern Warfare 3 event has already revealed multiple exclusive gun skins and charms tied to the event, alongside new Operator skins based on popular comedians Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong. Now, however, Dr. Disrespect is taking aim at Activision with regards to the new event.
Dr. Disrespect recently sounded off against Activision on his personal Twitter account, heavily criticizing the recent Call of Duty event. Dr. Disrespect chastised Activision for the use of marijuana and drugs being pushed through the recent event, while also remarking on the previous removal of fellow streamer Nickmercs' operator bundle. Dr. Disrespect went so far as to call the developers «a bunch of idiots», referring to them as the «biggest suit and tie phonies» found within the gaming industry.
Dr. Disrespect's response to the newest event comes as Call of Duty has consistently been one of the streamer's most frequented games. Dr. Disrespect regularly features the Call of Duty games during his streams, even becoming part of the first team to get a nuke victory in Call of Duty Warzone's Season 2. His familiarity with the games goes beyond his streams as well, with Dr. Disrespect formerly serving for four years as a Community Manager for Call of Duty developer Sledgehammer Games.
While Dr. Disrespect is known for his outspoken personality, the creator's infamous Twitch ban remains one of the most well-known events of his career. He recently revealed that the fallout from the Twitch ban resulted in Dr. Disrespect losing several major sponsorships, including massive brands like Nike. Dr. Disrespect has often openly criticized Twitch for the permanent suspension, going so far as to refer to the site's management staff as «slithery, disgusting purple snakes.» Despite the ramifications of his permanent ban from Twitch, Dr. Disrespect has remained one of streaming's most recognizable figures.

Crossover fighting game Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite first sauntered onto various videogaming mechanisms back in 2017. We forgot to review it. Oops. But others did, sometimes complaining about the art style, which was a chunky and plastic-looking departure from previous games in the series. It's now almost seven years later but at least one person has not forgotten this missed opportunity. A fighting game modder has been tinkering with shaders to bring the comic book style of previous games to Infinite. Looks cool.
Prior to Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s release in the fall of 2017, the crossover fighting game faced an uphill battle with newbies and longtime fans alike because of its abrasively shiny and underlit art style. Now, seven years later, a popular fighting game Twitch streamer announced he is working on a fan project that will give the game a facelift and, hopefully, encourage players who passed on it to give it a second chance.

Before we dash-attack into my deals, here's a Vault-Tec sponsored PSA. The free Fallout 4 next-gen updates are rolling out now. Along with a visual spitshine (4K/60 fps for PS5 and XSX consoles) and support for ultra-wide PC screens, they add new weapons, apparel, and workshops to the Commonwealth. Wish I could say there were mad discounts still going for every store version of this game, but it seems to only be a PC affair.
Microsoft's latest quarterly earnings call with shareholders has revealed that its Activision Blizzard acquisition has bolstered the company's gaming division revenue for Q3, offsetting a number of otherwise negative returns. The Microsoft Activision Blizzard acquisition has endured a series of legal challenges across several countries, but it would seem the Xbox parent company's persistence has more than paid off.
