Iconic action star has opened up about his role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and how it was apparently reduced.
Speaking with ComicBook, Lundgren explained that the DC sequel’s original script apparently featured more of his character, King Nereus. The actor said that since his character was the father of Amber Heard’s character, his scenes were cut alongside her character’s.
“I just realized that it was some kind of corporate decision that they try to limit Amber Heard, and then I’m playing with her dad and went along with it,” Lundgren stated. “I was just disappointed for the moviegoers because I thought the original script was great and the original cut — I saw a little bit of it, it was really good, so I didn’t see any reason to start reshooting and reshaping the story, which obviously led to disappointment in the moviegoers and not just me.”
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was once again directed by James Wan from a screenplay written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick. The sequel featured the return of Jason Momoa as he reprised the leading role of Arthur Curry/Aquaman. He was joined by various returning cast members, including Patrick Wilson as Orm, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Amber Heard as Mera, and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.
“After failing to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta wields the power of the mythic Black Trident to unleash an ancient and malevolent force,” reads the sequel‘s synopsis. “Hoping to end his reign of terror, Aquaman forges an unlikely alliance with his brother, Orm, the former king of Atlantis. Setting aside their differences, they join forces to protect their kingdom and save the world from irreversible destruction.”

There are no current plans to bring Rec Room — the social VR app that's part meeting place, part mini-game hub featuring sporting events, fantastical quests and even games of Charades — to PlayStation VR2. This is because the studio behind it (also known as Rec Room) simply «can't justify the cost», despite its popularity.
It might be a bit of a controversial take, but I’ve always preferred the Ace Attorney games with Apollo Justice over those with Phoenix Wright. That’s not to say the Phoenix Wright originals are bad, but I just found Apollo a far more relatable and likeable character. That probably says a lot about me, but it’s why I’m so happy that Capcom has finally graced us with a collection of Apollo’s various Chords of Steel workouts with the Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy.
We acknowledge that not all of you will be interested in getting the Apollo Justice Ace Attorney Trilogy that Capcom has officially released today. With three games to enjoy, that’s plenty of cases to dive into.

Aquaman 2'sbox office gross hit a milestone that no one expected it to reach as it nears the completion of its Snyderverse-ending theatrical run.
Outsiders of the Ace Attorney series might not be familiar with the name Apollo Justice, but fans know the character is a big deal. He's second only to Phoenix Wright in terms of playable appearances, and his new collection, the Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, gathers all of those outings in one convenient package. While there's not much new content, quality-of-life improvements and a visual overhaul do a lot to modernize Apollo's courtroom saga, making it a worthwhile journey for fans new and old.
It’s been nearly eight years since the last main entry in the Ace Attorney series.
I’m on a bit of a nostalgia kick right now. After burning out on new releases after a hectic 2023, I found a renewed love for gaming on my Nintendo DS. Games like Metroid Prime Hunters and Kirby Mass Attack brought me back to a unique era of two-screen game design brimming with innovative ideas. I’m not the only one missing that time, apparently; 2024 is already filled with DS throwbacks like Another Code: Recollection.
