Disney Invests $1.5 Billion Into Epic Games to Create New Games and Universe

The League of Legends fighting game has been re-revealed with a brand-new title, 2XKO, with the developers providing fans with a potential release window for next year. This League of Legends-branded fighting game was first revealed in 2019 as Project L, alongside Legends of Runeterra and the animated Arcane series as a way to expand the IP into different genres and mediums. Among the projects in development at Riot Games, Project L has had a somewhat rocky production.

What happens when you combine two great puzzle games? You get one puzzle game which makes me, an accredited professional fool, feel dizzy with noncomprehension. That game is Sokobond Express, which launched yesterday and combines the atom-shoving chemistry of Sokobond with the route-planning puzzling of Cosmic Express. So you have to draw paths around a grid to gather atoms to correctly build a desired molecule. That's all. Just molecular chemistry and pathing, at the same time. Oh, my poor foolish head.

Ubisoft Montpellier has said that Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will receive new content and modes via a series of free updates.

Epic Games Store users can now claim Super Meat Boy Forever until February 29 at 10 am CT, at which time it will rotate out and be replaced with Aerial_Knight's Never Yield. Interestingly, the Epic Games Store selection this week was supposed to be three Fallout games instead of Super Meat Boy Forever, but it was changed shortly after the announcement. It is said that the Fallout games will still be coming to EGS this year, just not right now.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is finally adding its long-awaited New Game Plus mode soon, along with additional costumes and accessibility features. Insomniac finally released Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation 5 last October to much critical and commercial success, with the game quickly becoming one of the developer's highest-selling titles of all time. As both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, players are tasked with defending New York City from a multitude of classic comic book villains, including Kraven the Hunter and a reimagined version of Venom.

Since its launch, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been one of the best titles on the PlayStation 5. It’s also been the best-selling title on the PS5 as it’s crossed over 10 million units sold in less than four months, which is very impressive. The game had incredible graphics, improved gameplay for bother Peter Parker and Miles Morales, the arrival of new villains like Kraven and Venom, and so on. However, after they beat the game, players wanted a new challenge, and Insomniac Games promised a New Game+ mode would be coming. As you now know, that’ll happen on March 7th. However, that’s not all that Insomniac is bringing to the table.

Xenonauts 2 is an old-school XCOM-alike that has you take control of a task force responsible for protecting the world from an extra-terrestrial threat. Though still in early access, the strategy game is about to receive a brand new update, bringing with it plenty of new content. 

Last Epoch is rapidly approaching its 1.0 release date, slated for February 21, and the developer Eleventh Hour Games is revealing more and more information about it. The game’s been in Early Access since April 2019, and 1.0 marks a huge step forward with loads of new gear.

The newest RPG from Life is Strange studio Don't Nod, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, is receiving rave reviews following its launch, with many praising its gameplay and gripping narrative. French developer Don't Nod made waves in the gaming industry with the release of Life is Strange in 2015, becoming an instant hit and receiving multiple accolades following its debut. The developer has made its name for its narrative-driven adventure games, releasing a sequel to Life is Strange alongside new original games like Twin Mirror. Now, the studio's newest game is seeing positive reception.

Endnight Games’ Sons of the Forest exits early access on February 22nd, nearly a year after it entered. While it previously only confirmed actor Shawn Ashmore voicing Timmy LeBlanc, new story content and polish, a new trailer is now available, showcasing other features to look forward to.
