Dastardly Baldur’s Gate 3 Player ‘Innocently’ Recruits the Game’s Most Ruthless Companion

Baldur's Gate 3 released its third patch on the weekend. While there were some good changes, like finally making Gale less horny, most of it hasn't gone down well with the community.

A new patch for Baldur's Gate 3 has introduced a load of new features, improvements, and bug fixes for the acclaimed RPG, but it's also introduced a shared stash system that everybody hates so much that many are assuming it must be a bug.

The Starfield community's ships are giving me some heavy Spore flashbacks. In case that's a game you missed, 2008's Spore was a funky little space-sim with several minigames stacked onto its back-end. 

While the most straightforward path to gaining power is leveling up or improving equipment, has another method of allowing playable characters to become more powerful — gaining access to unique illithid powers. As a result of the game's conflict with mind flayers, and the illithid tadpoles residing in (almost) every playable character's head, offers the opportunity to lean further into the power granted by the tadpoles. However, this power comes at a potential cost, as taking on the additional powers goes against one of the game's main goals — to get rid of the tadpoles and stop any future mind flayer transformations.

Baldur’s Gate 3 fans adore the many characters that appear throughout the game, and many enjoy sharing their love of the primary companions and Origin characters. Now, fans have discovered that the card game, Magic: The Gathering, has imprinted many of these characters, displaying them in gorgeous artwork.
