Wizards of the Coast has officially announced the highly-anticipated United States launch of Dungeons & Dragons' The Deck of Many Things will take place in January next year, with information on launch dates for other territories promised down the line.
In late October, it was announced that The Deck of Many Things had been delayed due to the product "not meeting our manufacturing standards", as defects and damage had been discovered in early copies sent to review outlets. In a post on the D&D Beyond message board (thanks Polygon), Wizards has announced that a new round of production for The Deck of Many Things has begun and that players in the US will have their copies on January 5, 2024.

For those of you outside the US, it was further clarified that EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and APAC (Asia-Pacific) regions will see shipments "a little later" than January, though no exact dates were revealed. It was also stated production could still potentially run into issues and cause further delays for all territories, but additional updates will be provided if that happens to be the case.
Thankfully, those of you who pre-ordered the set have something to pass the time until next January thanks to the recent digital release of The Book of Many Things last week. Unfortunately, the Card Reference Guide and actual tarot cards included in The Deck of Many Things have been inaccessible for quite a while, but hopefully, we only have a couple more months to wait before they're in the hands of buyers, barring any more delays.
For those that may not have heard of The Deck of Many Things, it's essentially a set of physical tarot cards based on the game's magical item of the same name. While the deck contained only 22 cards for its first inception back in 1975, Wizards of the Coast has added another 44 cards to the deck for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition, releasing a physical version of the set alongside two hardcover books.
Despite production issues, pre-orders are still available for The Deck of Many Things, which can be found on the official Dungeons & Dragons store if you fancy getting your hands on the product. Just be aware that further delays are still a very real possibility.
