Trying to predict what Nintendo is doing or will do in the upcoming weeks, months, and rest of the year has become a “pastime” here on the interest. Why? It’s because The Big N went from a “this is going to be a sendoff year for the Switch so we can welcome in our new console” to reports coming out that the Switch successor won’t even be coming out in 2024. This was only bolstered by recent events like the Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase and Pokemon Presents. So, will Mario Day be any different from those two in what it potentially shows off?
According to leaker Pyoro, the answer is “yes!” Before you say that “he could be wrong,” it should be noted that Pyoro has been incredibly consistent in recent predictions. He was one of the few denying when the Nintendo Direct would arrive, and he was one of the few stating it would be a Partner Showcase and not a pure Direct. So he’s on a roll right now, and when fans asked about a certain upcoming game starring Mario, he was more than happy to plant some seeds for when we might see it detailed further:

The importance of this isn’t lost on fans. Both Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door and Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD were announced last year during different Directs, but since then, we haven’t gotten any significant information about them. There’s only been one trailer a piece for them, and many felt that we would get release dates for both at the February Direct. However, since that was nothing more than a Partner’s Showcase and thus was only about 3rd party titles, we didn’t hear anything.
While it would be a bit odd for them to drop two trailers on Mario Day, you can’t rule it out for various reasons. First off, Nintendo has done “sneaky trailer releases” in the past, and it’s let them reveal games and other things without having to tie themselves to events. That even happened one year when they weren’t going to do an E3 presentation or a Direct during that same period. They straight-up shadow-dropped a video game reveal, and it shocked everyone.
Given that Nintendo’s focus is now on ‘what’s coming next,’ we might be seeing them take a shift away from the standard methods of announcing things and instead make more subtle announcements to hype up their remaining Switch titles.

In the last few days, we've seen numerous asteroids come close to Earth. Just yesterday, as many as four space rocks passed the planet by a close margin. Although none of them impacted the surface, their close approaches are a reminder of the need to constantly monitor these asteroids for potential impact scenarios. This job falls to NASA's Center for Near-Earth Object Studies or CNEOS, an organization that keeps an eye on Near-Earth Objects (NEOs) such as asteroids and comets. With the help of its advanced tech, NASA says an aircraft-sized asteroid is expected to pass by Earth today, March 20. Know all about this close encounter.
We've got some good news for Dragon's Dogma fans in the UK, as it has been discounted for both Xbox and PS5 before its release day this week. All you need to do is use code FRESH20 when preordering the game from The Game Collection via eBay, and rest assured your order will arrive for release day on March 22. This will bring the game down to just £50.36 (see here) on PS5, and £49.36 on Xbox, and a huge saving of around £20 when compared to buying the game digitally at £69.99.
Two asteroids passed Earth yesterday at the closest points in their orbit. Now, NASA has revealed that four more asteroids are expected to pass by Earth today, March 18. These space rocks often come close to Earth following an interaction with the gravitational field of a large planet like Jupiter. This sends these asteroids tumbling towards a planet, raising a potential impact scenario. Due to this uncertainty, it is crucial to observe and track asteroids in their orbits. Know all about the close encounter with a 140-foot asteroid today.
Nintendo has confirmed the file sizes for the upcoming Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD Switch remasters. Both of these games were first announced during the September 2023 Nintendo Direct, and instantly became highly anticipated releases. Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is a long-awaited remaster of the GameCube original, with Luigi's game being a complete port, bringing the classic title from the Nintendo 3DS to the Switch. Both of these remasters will also add some new gameplay features and remastered graphics.

Yesterday, as many as two asteroids passed Earth by a close margin. Both these space rocks were designated as Near-Earth Asteroids (NEAs). Despite their close approaches, these asteroids were predicted not to impact Earth and that is what happened as they flew by harmlessly. But how are these asteroids monitored in the first place? NASA says as soon as its telescopes track a new NEA, the asteroid's observed positions in the sky are tracked by astronomers and reported to the Minor Planet Center. Then, the Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS) determines its most likely orbit around the Sun by studying the data. Using this technique, NASA has shed light on an asteroid that is expected to pass Earth by a close margin today, March 13.

Like previous months, we've seen numerous asteroids fly past Earth in recent weeks. These space rocks come close to the planet when they interact with the gravitational field of a large planet like Jupiter. This entanglement knocks asteroids off their orbits and sends them hurtling towards a planet, raising a potential impact scenario. With the help of its advanced ground and space-based telescopes and satellites, NASA has shed light on an asteroid that is expected to pass Earth by a close margin today, March 12.
