Chris Pine is "pretty confident" that Dungeons & Dragons 2 will happen – and he wants to return

The reboot of survival-horror series Alone in the Dark has seen a second delay, with its release date now landing toward the end of next March. Publishers THQ Nordic ascribed the roughly two-month slip to their efforts in avoiding development crunch.

In between handing out awards to some of this year's biggest titles such as Baldur's Gate 3 and Alan Wake 2, The Game Awards 2023 featured a variety of game announcements and world premieres.

Hideo Kojima took to The Game Awards stage last night to unveil his new game, OD, being made in partnership with Get Out director Jordan Peele. And while I've got no real sense of what the game is actually about, Kojima himself definitely wants you to know what it's not about.

Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima announced OD, a new horror game for Xbox, alongside Us director Jordan Peele at The Game Awards. Finally, he's cashing in on the years of goodwill he built up with horror fans after making the unreleased Silent Hill P.T. nearly a decade ago.

Kojima Productions is, of course, busy with Death Stranding 2’s development in collaboration with Sony, but it has other irons in the fire as well. Last year it was announced that the studio was collaborating with Microsoft on an Xbox-exclusive game, and at The Game Awards, that game was formally unveiled.

Hideo Kojima isn't only working on Death Stranding 2. It's long been rumoured - and leaked - that Kojima Productions are also developing a horror game, thought to be called Overdose. It was finally officially revealed at The Game Awards this evening. It's actually called OD, and it's being developed in partnership with Jordan Peele.

Developer Starbreeze has announced a new game, codenamed Project Baxter, a cooperative multiplayer game presumably in the style of its PAYDAY series. Further, Starbreeze has managed to snag the official Dungeons & Dragons branding. However, we don't expect the studio to treat the RPG setting as reverently as Larian recently did with Baldur's Gate 3.

Payday 3 developer Starbreeze Entertainment has announced that it's teaming up with Wizards of the Coast to create a cooperative multiplayer game based on the popular Dungeons & Dragons franchise. Starbreeze hasn't announced a name for the title just yet, but they have revealed that it's being developed under the name Project Baxter and will be released at some point in 2026.

PayDay 3 developers Starbreeze have announced a new game based on the Dungeons & Dragons IP. The title, currently codenamed Project Baxter, will launch in 2026 on all major platforms and is being built with the Unreal 5 engine.
