Cataclysm Classic Pre-Patch DPS Rankings - First Week of Pre-Patch

Cataclysm Classic brings with it tabards for nearly every Faction on launch, allowing players to earn Reputation with a chosen Faction in every Level 85 Dungeon they complete. With a choice in leveling zones and the tabards that come with them, players can target certain Reputations based on the rewards they want to receive before Raids release.

In the recent Cataclysm Classic Launch Notes, Blizzard stated that Chaos Orbs will be Bind on Pickup at the launch of Cataclysm Classic, even though they were Bind on Equip during the Beta testing period.

In the recent Cataclysm Classic Launch Notes, Blizzard has confirmed that the weekly cap for Valor has been raised to 1600. For reference, the weekly Valor cap in Cataclysm's original release was 1000, but due to the increased content cadence of Cataclysm Classic, the weekly Valor and Conquest caps will be raised by roughly 60%.

With Cataclysm Classic's release fast approaching, players across all regions are setting themselves up for the smoothest possible leveling experience once the expansion goes live. We've put together a list of some of the things that you can do during the pre-patch to get yourself ready while waiting for Cataclysm Classic to release!

Archaeology — the source of mounts, BoA weapons & armor, and even the Recipe: Vial of the Sands, has been added to the game in Cataclysm Classic! Players can already start leveling this new profession in the currently available zones to prepare for the expansion's release. It's also worth noting that players are able to find epic rewards via Archaeology, despite being unable to equip them until Level 85 — this includes rewards like Zin'rokh, Destroyer of Worlds.

Blizzard has confirmed that Heirlooms will remain capped at level 80 in Cataclysm Classic until after the first raid is released. Once the first raid opens, Heirlooms will be adjusted to scale up to level 85.

Starting today, Blizzard is giving full access to the World of Warcraft Classic progression realms to all players without a subscription or Game Time! This offer will be available through the weekend, ending on May 13, 2024, at 10:00 am PDT.
