The Call of Duty franchise is promising some intriguing changes to its formula with the upcoming Modern Warfare 3. Some of those changes will take the form of Open Missions in the single player campaign, but the most radical departure in the game is looking like its Zombies mode, which will be fully open world this time.
Activision has now released a new reveal trailer to highlight Modern Warfare 3’s Zombies experience, offering a first look at its gameplay. Zombies will put multiple squads in open world maps filled with, well, zombies and all manner of undead abominations, with squads having the option of working together to take down their foes.
Instead of the round-based approach of past Zombies iterations, in Modern Warfare 3, players will move from one Zone of the open world map to the next, with each being progressively more difficult. Check out the trailer below for a glimpse of what it will have in store.
