Bethesda developer responds, as Fallout fans say TV show contradicts canon

Microsoft has announced an Xbox Games Showcase and a “Redacted” Direct for June.

For years Fallout fans have wondered if a video game in the franchise will ever leave the United States for another country. According to Fallout lore, the nuclear war of 2077 upon which the franchise is based was not localized to the U.S., but a global event. And so, the idea of traipsing astound post-apocalyptic London or even Canada has long-been mooted by fans.

With all things Fallout now enjoying a significant boost following the breakout success of the Fallout TV show, Fallout 76 is enjoying a significant rise in player numbers. Last week, Bethesda announced that Fallout 76, its most recent mainline Fallout game, saw over one million people play in a single day.

Every Fallout game, dating back to the original in 1997, has been set in America. We've gone from New California to the Capital Wasteland to The Commonwealth, but never outside the USA.

Fallout 5 won't start development until after The Elder Scrolls 6 launches, so we're a long way off from the next numbered game in the series, but the Amazon show has ignited a newfound hype in the franchise. So, the question is whether a third party will develop a spin-off akin to Obsidian's New Vegas in the meantime.

As part of their ongoing art series, aPokemon fan redesigned the Rock Pokemon called Nosepass to show what it would look like as a human and shared their work with other trainers. In response, some Pokemon fans complimented the artist for their continued efforts in drawing some Pokemon as humans, and for giving Nosepass a new look.

One imaginative Pokemon fan has created an interesting convergent design for Sudowoodo that gives the plant-mimicking Rock-type a more insectoid form. Every new generation of Pokemon adds new creatures to the franchise’s line-up, and later games would introduce variants for ones that already exist. Pokemon Sun and Moon introduced the concept of convergent Pokemon, alternate versions of certain monsters that live in a particular environment. For example, Wigglet is a relative of the popular Generation One critter Digglet that lives near sandy beaches instead of dirt-filled fields.

A skilled Pokemon fan artist has come up with some stunning character designs depicting what Makuhita and Hariyama could have looked like if they were humans. If there's one thing members of the Pokemon community are known for, it's the boundless creativity they display when it comes to making redesigns of existingcharacters from the games. The fan art for these two Pokemon in question is no different.

In the most unsurprising news you might read today: Amazon are going to make a second season to their very popular Fallout TV show. That means one more season until we get Liam Neeson, right?

Amazon Prime's Fallout TV show has been renewed for a second season.

Amazon's excellent adaptation of the Fallout series for TV is available in its entirety now, and we loved it. However, not every Fallout fan is happy with how it seemingly rewrites what was thought to be established series lore, apparently retconning the ending of beloved black sheep, Fallout: New Vegas.
