Baldur’s Gate 3 is “your very own Game of Thrones written for you”

There's been a lot of chatter in the last few weeks about whether you should have Baldur's Gate 3's karmic dice option turned on or off. It's something that's turned on by default, intended to help level the playing field a bit and throw a few good rolls your way when things are looking very much bad and vice versa. Some players claimed that it was actively gimping their high-end gameplay though, with enemies receiving the same treatment with fudged dice rolls—dealing massive damage and causing survivability issues all round. Despite Larian saying it was an early access issue that would be fixed in the full release, there's still been tons of players going to bat for both sides of the argument.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is heavily based on the 5th edition rules for Dungeons & Dragons, and as a result, the game loves a good stat. Everything is tracked and accounted for, and it all falls away into a vague grey blur that you assume is working correctly. The bigger the number, the better is a safe bet, right?

It's no secret by now that Baldur's Gate 3 has a… robust set of romance options, but if you thought Halsin's Wild Shape sex scene was impressive, I'm here to tell you that you've seen nothing yet.

World-ending, god-slaying, and badass. These words perfectly encapsulate the scale of Baldur’s Gate 3’s story. It’s endlessly intriguing, bombastically epic, and easily one of the best narratives to be told in recent memory. Despite all of that, a lot of the plot is driven by the cast of characters you meet on your journey.

There are a whopping 12 classes in Baldur’s Gate 3, and whilst all of them have a place, they are most certainly not all created equally. Like in any game, some classes rise to the top, and others languish in the bowels of underused irrelevance. It is simply how these things go, especially when classes start to overlap.

Larian has released a new hotfix for Baldur's Gate 3 that solves a game-breaking bug which was corrupting player saves.

After last fall signaling its intentions to expand into cloud gaming, Netflix today launched a new app that will soon allow subscribers to play games on their TV. The app, dubbed “Netflix Game Controller,” lets you use your phone as a controller after pairing it with your TV in order to play the games available through Netflix’s service.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has a lot of classes, and a lot of those classes just so happen to be powerful magic users like Druids, Wizards, and even Bards. Whilst many classes share many spells, there are some unique ones scattered here and there. With so many spells to pick from, even at level 1, what do you pick?

Baldur’s Gate 3 is a big game and early on, the direction you choose to move in can slow down your progress towards recruiting a well-balanced party. Of course, you will inevitably swing back around, but if you are desperate for a Barbarian, you might have to wait tens of hours before you find someone who fits that bill.

As far as crotch customization in videogames goes, vanilla Baldur's Gate 3 is doing a pretty good job. There are a handful of genitalia to choose from, and whatever package you desire isn't tied to gender identity or body type. That's already infinitely more genitals than most games let you see or tweak when creating characters, but it comes as no surprise that they're just not enough for Baldur's Gate 3's burgeoning modding scene.
