contains many fun and interesting legendary weapons, and one legendary item, the Everburn Blade, can be found before you even drop off the Nautiloid. The Everburn Blade is fantastic for Act 1, as you get a few magical weapons early on. This blade's damage, 2d6 + STR slashing damage, and 1d4 fire damage, is nothing to sneeze at, and getting it is simpler than you might think.
The prologue of is jam-packed with interesting details and helpful secrets, and the Everburn Blade is just one of those secrets. This is the sword that the cambion Commander Zhalk uses while fighting off the mind flayer leader at the bridge of the Nautiloid. Before you worry, you won't need to kill Commander Zhalk to get his sword; you just have someone ready to run in and take it from him.
According to CharlieIntel, the Everburn Blade is found in the last fight on the Nautiloid, but the process for getting it starts before that. First, players have torescue Shadowheart from her pod.
You can either unlock the pod with the key found in the next chamber or by using brute force.
Shadowheart, as the only caster you get before Act 1, can prepare the spell you need to cheese the Blade right out of Zhalk's hands. Once you have rescued Shadowheart in and she is officially in your party, hit "" (on PC) to open your spell book. From there, deselect any of Shadowheart's level one spellsandreplace them with the Command spell. This is the most essential part of your preparation, so complete it before you begin the fight on the Nautiloid's bridge.
From here, you can head past the room where you found Shadowheart, trigger the fight, and defeat the Hellboar between you and Commander Zhalk. On Shadowheart's turn, have her cast "" on Zhalk. However, there'sno guarantee that this will work on your first cast, so try to save as many of Shadowheart's limited spell slots as you can.
Once Zhalk has dropped the sword, send either Lae'zel or your Tav to pick it up. Once you've got the blade, connect the nerves at the transponder to trigger the transition cutscene. The Everburn Blade and other weapons allow for some of the best builds for Act 1 of so keep it in mind as you set out to meet the druids and pick up your companions.
