It's a pretty good time to be a TMNT fan, as TMNT Arcade: Wrath of the Mutants is set to release on April 23 for all major platforms. In case some are unfamiliar, Wrath is a port of Raw Thrills' 2017 arcade game of the same name, but its console release comes with upgrades like new stages and boss fights. Fans have other titles to look forward to as well, like Outright Games' TMNT: Mutants Unleashed, but Switch owners are especially in luck regarding the franchise's newest announcement.
Developer Super Evil Megacorp will make their console debut when TMNT: Splintered Fate releases on the Switch in July. The roguelike mobile game has been upgraded for Nintendo's console with improved visuals and audio and features the four crime-fighting turtles that TMNT fans have come to love. Splintered Fate includes fast-paced combat, a build system, co-op, and a roguelike mechanic that aims to create plenty of replayability. The game originally released in May 2023 for iOS and Mac and has been well-received with a 4.7 out of 5 review average from more than 24,000 reviews.
Splintered Fate features an entirely new story that's co-written by TMNT comic book author Tom Waltz and Super Evil Megacorp creative director Michael Johnson. Players will find themselves fighting across four different New York City-based locations that include lots of Easter eggs, collectibles, and iconic enemies like Shredder, Bebop, and Rocksteady. It's still unclear how long Splintered Fate will be a Switch console exclusive, but it seems quite likely that the game will arrive on other platforms eventually.
As for other games releasing this year, TMNT: Mutants Unleased is expected to release in late 2024 on all major platforms. The game continues the story seen in the recent Mutant Mayhem animated movie by taking players on a 3D brawler-platformer adventure.
THQ Nordic's TMNT: The Last Ronin also created lots of excitement following its announcement. Its reveal trailer showcased a much darker tone for the franchise; however, news surrounding the game has gone dark since its August 2023 reveal.

In fact, the Xbox Game Pass May 2024 announcement is most likely happening on Tuesday, April 30.
Nintendo is said to have pushed the launch of its next-generation console, with reports from earlier this year claiming that the successor to the Nintendo Switch would be released in early 2025. Little is known about the Nintendo Switch 2, but the console will likely retain the hybrid design of its predecessor and is expected to come with a larger screen. Now, new details about Nintendo's upcoming console have reportedly surfaced.

Modders have managed to get Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 running on the Nintendo Switch. Ever since its initial release in 2013, Grand Theft Auto 5 has been a massive success. While Xbox Game Pass is set to gain a selection of fantastic Day-One releases in the back half of April, subscribers may want to act fast to play the six games leaving the service in the coming weeks. To offset the amount of titles the platform offers, Microsoft always removes a handful of games whenever it brings in a new selection for players to experience. While that might sound like a bad deal, it makes sense given the already massive catalog on offer and users can still pick up the departing games for a discount before they eventually leave.
