ASUS has started rolling out the latest AMD AGESA 1.1.8.0 BIOS firmware for its high-end X670E series of motherboards.
ASUS had previously rolled out the AMD AGESA 1.1.7.0 BETA BIOS for its AM5 motherboards which included all X670E, X670, B650E, B650, and A620 products. Now, ASUS has started rolling out latest AGESA 1.1.8.0 firmware for its higher-end X670E motherboards in the ROG Crosshair, ROG Strix & ProArt series.
Now it's uncertain if anything has changed significantly in the new BIOS update but it looks like we can expect improved support for the next-generation AMD Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPUs that have already been confirmed by the motherboard maker. AMD's next-generation Ryzen 9000 "Zen 5" Desktop CPUs are expected to be introduced next month at Computex 2024 and it looks like we will see a lot of new AM5 action during the event along with the release of a new BIOS firmware, most likely the AGESA 1.2.0.0 which could be the official release version for Zen 5 chips.
