Assassin’s Creed Mirage receives later than expected release date for iOS devices

We’ve been asking for it ever since the series debut, and now we’re finally getting an Assassin’s Creed game set in Feudal Japan. Previously known by the code name Assassin’s Creed Red, Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be the latest entry in the long-running Assassin’s saga. Ubisoft let us know we would be getting the world premiere trailer first, but it turns out there was a lot more to show than just a first glimpse at the game. We’ve managed to gather all the footage and information shared online to deliver you the goods about Assassin’s Creed Shadows.

Ubisoft has provided extensive updates on its upcoming titles for the fiscal year, primarily Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Star Wars Outlaws. In its full-year 2023-24 earnings release, the publisher confirmed that both titles would receive “updates” at Ubisoft Forward on June 10th.

Warner Bros has announced the release date for its upcoming movie Mortal Kombat 2.

Update: Whoops! It looks like one of Ubisoft's channels accidentally leaked the Assassin's Creed Shadows release date before the official reveal -- November 15, 2024.

Nintendo confirmed its forecast for consoles sold during the remainder of the fiscal year did not include Switch2 sales, suggesting its next console will launch later than fans had hoped. Since its ongoing development was leaked, fans have been desperately awaiting more news regarding the release date for the successor to the beloved Switch gaming console. Unfortunately, they might have to wait a little longer than previous rumors suggested.

Ubisoft has announced an official release date of June 6, 2024 for the launch of its music learning service Rocksmith+ on PlayStation and new PC storefronts. Rocksmith+ was originally released by Ubisoft in 2022.

A new Sonic the Hedgehog game is on the way to mobile later this year. Sega’s is a battle royale platformer coming to Android and iOS this winter, and fans can sign up for the beta now.  

Before Assassin’s Creed Mirage launched for PC and consoles last October, Ubisoft announced that the game would also be coming to certain iOS devices in early 2024. Given that we’re now in May and that has yet to often, plans obviously changed, but the company has now announced a specific release date for the open world action-adventure title’s iOS port.

The long-delayed Star Wars: Hunters finally has a new release date. Back in 2021, Lucasfilm Games and developer Zynga announced Star Wars: Hunters, a squad-based arena shooter set after the fall of the Galactic Empire at the end of the original Star Wars movie trilogy. Players can choose from characters like Rieve, a dark-side-empowered warrior, a lightsaber-wielding droid called J-3DI, and even Utooni, a pair of junk-scavenging Jawas stacked together. Each of these characters has their own unique abilities, which will come in handy during frantic battles across several classic Star Wars locations.

Zynga's finally has a release date after years of delays​​​​​​. The arena shooter was announced during the Nintendo Direct presentation on February 17, 2021, and was originally planned for a release later that year, but this kept getting pushed back as Zynga wanted to ensure the game met expectations.

Apple is rolling out the beta testing phase for iOS 17.5, offering developers and public beta users a sneak peek at its new features. The update is anticipated to hit devices sometime next month. Previous trends suggest a mid-May release, aligning with past x.5 updates such as iOS 16.5 on May 18, iOS 15.5 on May 16, iOS 14.5 on April 26, and iOS 13.5 on May 20. As of April 17, four beta versions of iOS 17.5 have been rolled out.
