Apple Is Reportedly ‘Evaluating The Possibility’ Of Making Foldable iPads After The OLED Models Launch In 2024; No Concrete Timeline Given

Final Fantasy XIV producer Naoki Yoshida has revealed that many highly requested features coming after the launch of Final Fantasy XI: Dawntrail.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio was quite active in 2023 with the releases of Like a Dragon: Ishin! and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, while the studio is also gearing up for the imminent launch of the series’ next mainline instalment in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. As you may have guessed, however, there’s plenty more in the pipeline as well- some of which we’ll be hearing about in the coming months.

In yet another blow to China as it attempts to maintain a path towards self-reliance, Dutch-based lithography systems manufacturer ASML has revoked shipments of some of its DUV machines thanks to a request brought forward by the Biden administration. The export ban for such equipment was supposed to come into effect after a few weeks, which would have given China a little breathing room to procure sufficient machinery to continue mass producing chips for various applications, but the U.S. had other plans.

Amid rising concerns and multiple legal battles of authors, publishers, and media houses over large language models (LLMs) using their copyrighted work to train AI systems, the New York Times has filed a lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft. The publisher has alleged that the two AI firms have been using the former's copyrighted published work unauthorized to train their respective AI models. This lawsuit has now heightened the conflict between publishers and AI companies, as regulatory institutions still try to figure out the right way to control and monitor the data AI models are trained on. 

Apple's new iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus received notable upgrades over last year's models. The company slightly tweaked the design and brought Dynamic Island to the standard models from the 'Pro' models. Additionally, a faster processor and new camera sensors make the iPhone 15 models a worthy upgrade. However, with all these features combined, the iPhone 15 Plus has the best battery on any smartphone, as highlighted in Apple's latest ad.

An earlier Apple Vision Pro launch timeline stated that the mixed-reality headset’s shipments would start in February next year, with the company’s supply chain working in overdrive mode to avoid any further delay. Now, one analyst believes that if the current schedule is maintained, the device will start getting stocked in stores beginning in late January. Aside from these launch predictions, the analyst also states that the mixed-reality headset will be Apple’s most important product for 2024 and also provides shipment estimates for next year.

Apple Inc. is on the verge of pulling its most popular smartwatches from sale at its US physical and online stores to comply with a trade regulation ruling. And while other retailers can continue to sell the devices, Apple has told staffers it can't let people know.

Apple introduced its 3nm A17 Pro SoC to the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which is the first time the company moved away from the ‘Bionic’ moniker. Then again, to help differentiate between the ‘Pro’ and non-Pro versions, Apple could attach a new moniker to the A18.
