Mortal Kombat 1 just released the first full Omni-Man gameplay trailer, revealing that he will be available from November 9 next week if you own either the Premium Edition or first Kombat Pack.

Mortal Kombat 1's first Kombat Pack includes three comic-book characters, Peacemaker, Omni-Man (from Invincible), and Homelander (from The Boys). All three have appeared in TV adaptations over the past few years, with the first two played by John Cena and J. K. Simmons respectively. They're both reprising their roles for MK1, but there's still no word on whether Antony Starr will.
With no updates from NetherRealm, fans have been left to speculate, wondering whether someone else will take up the mantle. However, maxium_mishima wasn't content with theorising, so they went to Starr's Instagram directly and left a comment, "LOOKING BEAUTIFUL ANTHONY. Will you be voicing Homelander in Mortal Kombat 1?"

He replied, "mmmmmmm". That's not a yes, but it's also not a no. It's vague enough to keep the speculation train on the tracks.
The strangest part about all of this is that Simmons and Cena were announced simultaneously to be reprising their roles in the game, while details on Starr have been suspiciously absent. Why that is is anyone's guess - negotiations could still be ongoing, or NetherRealm may be waiting to reveal the actor in a trailer.
However, it's worth noting that the Kombat Pack is being spread out over 2024. Omni-Man will be arriving first, followed by Quan-Chi and Peacemaker. Homelander will arrive later in Spring. The fact he is such a late addition to the first DLC roster could be why NetherRealm and Ed Boon aren't ready to discuss his character yet.
A more outlandish theory that definitely isn't true was posed a couple of months ago on the Mortal Kombat 1 subreddit. sss133 suggested that when Ed Boon mentioned Simmons and Cena, he didn't bring up Starr because he simply forgot his name.
Again, definitely not true, but given that the person who asked him on his Instagram whether he was voicing Homelander or not made the common mistake of calling him 'Anthony' when it's Antony, maybe there's some credence to this theory (there isn't).
In the meantime, while we wait to find out if Starr is in MK1, we know a little bit more about the next Invasions season. It's arriving just in time for Halloween so it's fittingly themed around Nitara and all things vampire.
An alternate version of Nitara hailing from a timeline where Vaternians rule is invading Fire God Liu Kang's timeline, so several of the mainstay Mortal Kombat characters will appear as vampires.

Mortal Kombat 1 just released the first full Omni-Man gameplay trailer, revealing that he will be available from November 9 next week if you own either the Premium Edition or first Kombat Pack.
A new gameplay trailer has been released showing off the upcoming Omni-Man DLC, which is inspired by the Invincible comic book and Prime Video adult animated series and features the voice of actor J. K. Simmons. It will be released on November 9 as the first playable character in the Kombat Pack.
Mortal Kombat 1’s first DLC character, Omni-Man, is available to download from November 9, Warner Bros. Games and developer NetherRealm have announced.
NetherRealm Studios has a big new update available for Mortal Kombat 1, which adds a long-request quality-of-life feature: tagging moves. Players can now tag moves from the Move List to the screen, making it easier to practice them. The Move Last will also remember if Advanced View is enabled and return to the last used tab.
Mortal Kombat 1 recently released to some great reviews, and while fans are generally having a great time with the game – not every decision has been met with a positive response. A recent update to the game had a patch note stating “Halloween Fatality added to the Premium Store”, but no such fatalities were found within the game itself.
Andrew Morgado, the voice actor for Mortal Kombat 1‘s Reptile, seems to have accidentally revealed that the T-1000 from Terminator 2: Judgment Day will be making its way to the game’s roster. Speaking about working on the game as a voice actor, Morgado talks about meeting various other actors, like Ronda Rousey. He goes on to reveal that Robert Patrick was present at the studio to do work for T-1000.
In an interview with Dan Allen Gaming, Reptile actor Andrew Morgado accidentally let slip that Robert Patrick was filming lines for Mortal Kombat DLC as T-1000, the villainous android shapeshifter from Terminator 2.
Mortal Kombat 1 is set in a new timeline written by Fire God Liu Kang, which means certain relationships and identities have changed. Kuai Liang is now Scorpion, Mileena and Kitana are sisters, and Tarkatan is a disease, not a people. That leaves the question of where the Kombat Kids fit in, but leakers may have found the answer in datamined DLC voice lines which were proven true by the Omni-Man trailer.
If you are playing the PC version of Mortal Kombat 1 and have experienced crashes, you might be surprised to learn that NetherRealm's latest fighting game leaves an extra digital footprint on your PC as it takes up more space on your hard-drive.
Some Mortal Kombat 1 players have theorised that the game was originally supposed to be Injustice 3 and that it was changed mid-development, but there's more evidence against that theory than there is for it.
