Over the years since release, we've seen the game beaten with almost every single appliance imaginable, including dance pads, children's toys, a goldfish, and someone's mind. It seems like we'll be able to add a violin to that list pretty soon, as Twitch streamer TiavolioGaming has been slowly making his way through all of FromSoftware's toughest titles, and is now tackling Elden Ring.
TiavolioGaming's exploits were first noticed and shared on the Elden Ring subreddit, which included a clip of him taking down Godfrey, First Elden Lord. The streamer himself then started thanking people in the replies to the video, and revealed a bit of information as to how he's managing to get through Elden Ring with just his trusty violin by his side.
For starters, TiavolioGaming says that the Mimic Tear is helping him quite a lot, with him also admitting that it sometimes makes fights a little too easy with how it functions as a very good distraction. It also helps that he deliberately ensures that his character is overleveled for certain boss fights, and says that he defeats "almost all of them on the first try" as a result.
Head on over to his Twitch channel, and you will find multiple clips of him taking down loads of bosses with ease, sometimes within a few seconds. He does admit that he's slightly worried about getting further into the game though, when the power levels will inevitably start to even out a little, and says that he's probably going to have to "eat [his] words" when he eventually gets to Malenia.
If you're still sat there wondering how this man looks so sure of himself playing through a soulslike with a violin, it probably helps that he's already played and beaten much tougher games. TiavolioGaming explains that he's already beaten all three Dark Souls games, including the DLC and all their bosses, and that the original games were much more challenging due to the differences in how you play them and the lack of Mimic Tear.
Even with all that experience, it's yet another incredible example of an Elden Ring player going out of their way to make the game ten times harder for themselves, and you've got to respect that. TiavolioGaming goes on to claim that they plan on beating Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice after Elden Ring, and that sounds like a painful time indeed. Godspeed.
