Baldur's Gate 3 player uses D&D math to explain why Shadowheart's Firebolts always seem to miss

I recently started my second proper Baldur's Gate 3 playthrough since defeating the Brain earlier this year. As is pretty much par for the course, it wasn't long before I'd recruited Shadowheart, and as is also par for the course, it wasn't long before I was rolling my eyes as every single Firebolt she threw missed its target.

The PlayStation Portal's online requirements can be a deal breaker for many, but if you're one of the fans who picked one up at launch, you've probably made your peace with it. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth takes some lessons from Star Wars: "It's very good to bear in mind in terms of the right way of going about the second part"

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is juggling an impossible number of balls. In one fell swoop it’s aiming to remake the original’s shattering second act, continue where its 2020 predecessor ended, and set up an inevitable third game. But to make the burden bearable, the game’s development team is turning to a classic Star Wars sequel for some inspiration: The Empire Strikes Back.

Dark Souls mod turns FromSoft's masterpiece into the PSP port it was always meant to be

I think a crucial test of a game's visual identity is how well it holds up to a demaster. Bloodborne, for instance, manages to remain recognisably and wonderfully itself when you turn it into some kind of PS1-style kart racer, and it's in no small part down to the talent of both the demaster's makers and FromSoft's art team. And hey, perhaps unsurprisingly, it turns out that applies to other games in the studio's catalogue too.

Omegle creator on site’s shutdown: ‘what is right doesn’t always prevail’

Omegle, the anonymous video chat service founded in 2009, was shut down on Wednesday night. Created by Leif K-Brooks, the site allowed people to video chat with random strangers online, and had a strained reputation almost from its launch. Over the years, the website has been marred in controversy, including reports of discrimination and sexual abuse of minors. Citing increased scrutiny of the website, K-Brooks said that operating Omegle “was no longer sustainable, financially nor psychologically,” in a message on the site.
