Adventure game Eastward is free for Switch Online subscribers until October 3

11 bit studios will publish INDIKA, a narrative-driven adventure game set in parallel 19th century Russia developed by Kazakhstan-based studio Odd Meter, the companies announced. It will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG in 2024. Part of the game’s revenue will be donated to help children affected by the war in Ukraine.

Ubisoft has announced that The Crew Motorfest is getting another free trial on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. The free trial kicks off today, and will be available until October 20, during which players can freely play up to 5 hours of the game. Players who then decide to purchase the game will be able to carry over their progress.

In honor of Indigenous People’s Day on Sept. 9, Coyote & Crow Games has made the core rulebook for their evocative pen-and-paper RPG, Coyote & Crow, free to own for one day only. While the publisher suggests that the Indigenous community in particular should take advantage of this deal, anyone looking to add the game’s $70 core rulebook to their library is welcome to pay whatever they deem fair. PDF downloads of the core ruleset are available directly from the publisher’s website, which also includes a portal for monetary donations.

Exploration adventure game Ikonei Island: An Earthlock Adventure will leave Early Access and launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on November 9, followed by Switch at a later date for $24.99 / £20.99. The game can also be enjoyed for free with someone who already owns the game via the “Friends’ Pass.”

London-based studio Phabula has announced Hexrite, a third-person action adventure game set in a stylized fantasy world where you play as a sorcerer who sets off on a quest to complete an ancient ritual. It will be available for PC via Steam. A release date was not announced.

Microsoft has announced new titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in early to mid October, which includes Forza Motorsport, Like A Dragon: Ishin!, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, and From Space.
