If leaks over recent weeks are to be believed, the Nintendo Switch 2 is set to be a significant upgrade over the technical capabilities of its predecessor. Nintendo allegedly showcased behind-closed-door tech demos to developers in August, following which it has been reported that, thanks to its use of DLSS, the console will be capable of outputting games at 4K/60 FPS with support for ray tracing.
Given that the Switch 2 is purportedly touting those capabilities, one might think that, unlike what’s been the case with Nintendo consoles for a decade and half now, the Switch’s successor will see much more simultaneous multiplatform releases. And apparently, that will indeed be the case.
That’s according to prominent insider Tom Henderson. Recently taking to Twitter, along with expressing his excitement about the Switch 2’s tech, he claimed that. in the next 12-18 months, we’ll be seeing “a heck of a lot” announcement of multiplatform games getting simultaneous Switch 2 launches alongside their PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC versions.
Leaks have claimed that Nintendo is targeting a release sometime in the second half of 2024, which would presumably mean we’ll start getting official information on it in the coming months. As for what some of these major multiplatform titles could be, recent leaks have given some potential indication, with mention of games like Far Cry 7 and Monster Hunter 6.
Really excited for the Nintendo Switch 2 and its tech.
We'll see «Launching on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC» a heck of a lot in 12-18 months.

Spin Rhythm XD hit the PC back in March and now it’s set for its console debut thanks to the Nintendo Switch. There have been a ton of rhythm games on the market over the past two decades, but none really did things quite like Spin Rhythm XD. Ever since the big GTA 6 leak last year where 90 early developmental gameplay videos surfaced, fans have become increasingly impatient about its release date. GTA 5 debuted in 2013 and has gone on to become the 2nd best-selling video game of all time. Despite its amazing action-packed gameplay which players have enjoyed throughout the last decade, fans have repeatedly asked Rockstar Games for any information about its sequel, GTA 6. Their wishes were fulfilled last year when a user named ‘teapotuberhacker' leaked the developmental videos, after which Rockstar issued a statement confirming the development of GTA 6, without hinting at a release timeline. However, analysts have now predicted the GTA 6 release date.
Ever since its official announcement in February 2022, Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) has become one of the most anticipated games of recent years. The popularity of the franchise can be assessed from the fact that GTA V was released in 2013 and it still continues to be popular. But despite the excitement, Rockstar Games, the game developer and publisher, has kept its cards close to its chest when it comes to its release date, trailer launch, gameplay, and more. But last year's leaks and subsequent information from different sources have shed some light on GTA 6. Delightful, it was!

Elon Musk's acquisition of X (formerly Twitter) has resulted in a myriad of changes on the platform, the majority of which have drawn flak from users. Consequently, many of them have switched to alternate platforms such as Mastodon, Threads, and Bluesky Social. While the former two platforms are accessible to everyone, Bluesky Social still follows an invite-only protocol, meaning only those who have invite codes can get onto the platform. Despite this, Bluesky last month announced that it had amassed 1 million users on its platform. To keep users engaged safely and securely on its platform, Bluesky Social has announced new safety features on its platform as part of the new update.
New rumours are indicating that Ubisoft is looking to launch its free-to-play competitive shooter XDefiant on October 28. Throughout 2022, we were inundated with endless rumours about the mythical Nintendo Switch Pro. It was slated to be a big improvement over the original Nintendo Switch and its OLED upgrade a few years later. However, with the release of the Steam Deck and the imminent release of many other handheld entries into the market, the development work on the Switch Pro was abruptly ended. The reason was simple enough in that it couldn’t match the hardware specifications and performances of the competition, most notably that of 4K gaming. With the Pro firmly put to bed in January this year, rumours quickly began to surface of the revival of the next major Nintendo release – the Nintendo Switch 2.
