A Devil May Cry anime series is coming to Netflix soon

League of Legends has drawn countless players to its diverse fanbase over the years. Not all of them are there for its competitive play or even Riot’s flagship game itself, as the Runeterra canon encompasses various forms of media.  Fans can now officially consider Arcane, the League of Legends-inspired animated series on Netflix, a part of that canon too, as a developer from Riot Games has confirmed this to be the case.

More than a decade after Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas debuted in movie theaters, Street Fighter and Mega Man publisher Capcom pulled off something impressive: It made a direct sequel to the movie, with Burton’s blessing.

Since its debut on July 6, Threads has been working hard to compete with X (formerly Twitter) in the race to become the top microblogging platform. While Threads enjoyed a burst in popularity at launch, becoming the fastest-ever platform to reach 100 million users, it has somewhat died down since then. The initial surge in traffic was attributed to glaring issues on X as well as people getting fed up with several of Elon Musk's draconian measures. However, Threads still lacks several features that have made X extremely popular over the last few years.

Google did not touch on the specifications of the Tensor G3 during its official announcement, though it spoke incessantly about its computational imaging, video capabilities, and leveraging AI to enhance the final results. Even on the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro comparison page, there are no additional details provided on the latest SoC, but we did stumble across information that mentions that Samsung’s older 4nm manufacturing process is being used to mass produce the Tensor G3, not the latest one.

Diablo 4 caught my eye as soon as it dropped and ended up being my first-ever delve into Blizzard’s long-standing RPG series. While I’m glad I took the plunge and discovered the wickedly whimsical world offered by Sanctuary, I was always a bit disappointed with its exclusive appearance on Blizzard’s own storefront. I’m one of those Steam addicts, collecting games on Valve’s platform and proudly displaying my achievements in one cozy spot. Thankfully, I’ll finally get to do just that with Diablo now as the developer revealed its official Steam release.

Capcom's ultra-stylish demon blaster Devil May Cry is back again, but in anime form. As part of Netflix's Drop 01 animation event, the streaming behemoth dropped a teaser for its upcoming DMC anime series—the one announced back in 2018—courtesy of Adi Shankar, a name you'll recognise from his work as showrunner and executive producer on another animated Netflix series based on a videogame: Castlevania. DMC is being produced by Studio Mir, of Legend of Korra fame.

Capcom has announced a Devil May Cry anime for Netflix, though a release date is yet to be confirmed. The teaser trailer shows Dante performing some acrobatic gunplay, and not much else. There is also a brief part of the soundtrack which sounds suitably heavy for a Devil May Cry based anime.

Devil May Cry is getting a new anime adaptation, Netflix has announced via a very brief teaser trailer. Capcom's beloved action series has always been an obvious candidate for such a project, and this one sounds promising. It's being crafted by South Korean animation outfit Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra, Voltron: Legendary Defender, Dota: Dragon's Blood, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf and more), and it's being spearheaded by Adi Shankar, who was the producer on Netflix's lauded Castlevania anime.

Netflix has been trying its hardest to make itself one of the “big names” in anime creation and adaptation. You might recall they just released a very successful live-action adaptation of a show featuring some Straw Hat Pirates. Well, not too long after that was released, they announced that they were going to make an anime-style adaptation of one of Capcom’s most famous franchises: Devil May Cry. That’s right, Dante is back, in animated form, and he will be tearing things up like only he can. While this isn’t the first time an animated series with Dante has been done, this one could have legs if it goes well.

Netflix has announced the Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft animated series, based on the Tomb Raider video game series. It is produced by Legendary with Crystal Dynamics.
