4X Strategy Genre-Blending Dune: Spice Wars is Coming to Xbox This Month

It’s been an eclectic few months for PS VR2. We’ve been flung to the far reaches of space in captivating puzzle adventure Red Matter, explored the evocative sci-fi world of Journey to Foundation, teamed up to capture spooks in Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord,  solved a supernatural mystery in 7th Guest VR, fought monsters in roguelike The Foglands and became a creature of the night in Vampire: The Masquerade – Justice.

Remedy Entertainment has put out a bevy of updates and patches for Alan Wake 2 in the weeks since its release, and though they’ve been focused on polishing the game and ironing out its technical issues, fans do still have new features and content to look forward to. For instance, Remedy confirmed prior to the game’s release that New Game Plus would be added post-launch, and it seems the time for it is almost at hand.

Alongside a new trailer showing what Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will sound like in English, Sega also confirmed Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name's English dub will release for free this month. The new trailer shows scenes that will be familiar to anyone who watched the Japanese trailer back in September, but it's nice to hear familiar voices connected to this new footage. Alan Wake 2 developer Remedy Entertainment has seemingly revealed that a New Game Plus mode will be added to the game in December 2023.

One year on from its rocky launch, co-op shooter Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has been on a bit of an apology tour, making major overhauls of core systems to get the game into a more lovable state. So far it's been a really successful makeover, and it's culminated in a big free expansion, The Traitor Curse, released in two parts. Real-time strategy game Dune: Spice Wars is out now on Xbox Series X/S. As part of its Xbox release, the game is also available as part of Xbox Game Pass. Along with getting an Xbox Series X/S release, Dune: Spice Wars also features a new control scheme that revolves around making use of a controller.

Tack on «grand strategy»—as in you not only build a city but clash with a larger world using military and economic strategies—and I'm even more interested.
