10 years after development began, this city builder that lets you play God to entire planets has finally gotten a full release

Ubisoft has defended Skull and Bones' lofty price tag, dubbing it a "quadruple A game," but many who've played the recent beta aren't sold on it. 

Over the years, simulation games have given us a taste of what it would be like to run hospitals, theme parks, zoos, and even whole cities, trying to balance the books while also making sure everyone stays happy. This new offering from Nokta Games takes that idea and gives it an all-new and more down-to-earth setting: a supermarket.

Cross-platform multiplayer is always a welcome feature, letting you play with your pals, even if you're all on different consoles and PCs. But thanks to some Roblox developers, we might see our first example of cross-game play - if that's even the right word for it.

Tributes from developers have been flooding in for Blizzard's unannounced survival game following its cancellation. 

Voice actor Josh Keaton, who plays Robin in Batman: Arkham Origins, claims a Batman game he was working on was cancelled because of leaks, but another source suggests otherwise.

Basically the only sort of strategy games I like are city builders, so I was interested in the playtest for El Dorado: The Golden City Builder, which casts you as the leader of an ancient Mayan-ish city. The playtest is only the prologue, but the eventual goal is to take over the Yucatán peninsula, and if nothing else it's refreshing to see a city-builder that doesn't feel overwhelmingly European. It also has a complicated system of religion. Whereas in a similarly polytheistic game like Zeus, the gods would turn up to stomp on buildings and/or bless them, at fairly large intervals, in El Dorado I was getting a home immolated every few days. Building shrines that have an area of effect, and that require resources to run and protect your town, is its own supply chain in El Dorado. This is a very interesting idea that I liked.

Joel seems a decent choice if you're delving into No Return, The Last of Us Part 2's brand-new roguelike mode. With a powerful custom revolver, an upgraded melee weapon, and a shiv (plus a recipe to craft more), his is the best starting loadout of all. Unfortunately, he also has the biggest disadvantage: he can't dodge.

The Hollywood Reporter have revealed that a movie based on the PlayStation 4 and PC game Until Dawn is being prepared. The screenwriter of It, Annabelle and The Nun, Gary Dauberman, is doing a pass on the script while Shazam! director David F. Sandberg will be sitting in the big chair.
