is an enormous game with over 1,000 planets and 100 star systems; however, its impressive size is not limited to its map, also features a plethora of side quests, miscellaneous missions, and adventures to be experienced. Some of 's many quests are exceptional, some are pretty terrible, but a number are notable for being particularly obscure, hard to find, or difficult to trigger. These little-known quests are of fluctuating quality, but some bring with them great rewards and entertaining experiences.
, like many Bethesda games, has an expansive main mission — as well as faction missions and side quests. Also like other examples from Bethesda's impressive catalog of popular RPGs, 's quests are not always easy to experience. Whether they require specific criteria to trigger or simply just extraordinary luck, some side quests and miscellaneous missions are little known beyond the most die-hard and dedicated of players. The quest sees the Spacefarer travel to a settlement on Charybdis III, a settlement that is home to an interesting cast of clones of historical figures. These include Franklin Roosevelt, Queen Amanirenas, and Genghis Khan, as well as a number of others. The quest revolves around the player settling a dispute between the settlement's three societies — the Believers, Pragmatists, and the Renegade. Although the primary rewards are okay, the main reason for completing this mission is the ability to hire a historical figure as a companion.
"" is a rather obscure quest, but one with perhaps the best reward. During a random encounter with another starship, an NPC will tell the player about a distress call coming from a nearby planet. Visiting this planet to assist the distressed broadcaster will trigger the quest. "" revolves around an outpost that is under attack by Spacers. Although the mission is fun enough to justify the effort required to trigger it, the reward of one of the best rifles in the game — the Peacekeeper — should make this one of 's must-complete quests.
