Picking the best Cyberware is crucial to V’s survival in. Cyberware has received a significant overhaul as part of the game’s Update 2.0, with new and reworked Cyberware available to purchase from Ripperdocs all over Night City. However, high-end Cyberware is expensive and hard to upgrade, so it’s important to prioritize the best implants.
V can install Cyberware in ten different body parts: Legs, Integumentary System, Circulatory System, Nervous System, Hands, Skeleton, Face, Arms, Operating System, and Frontal Cortex. Implants can have various functions ranging from passive Armor and combat buffs to enabling double jumps. It’s also worth noting that although V is practically immune to cyberpsychosis, the new Cyberware Capacity mechanic limits how much they can install at once.

The Kiroshi “The Oracle” Optics are arguably the best pick for optics, as they significantly upgrade V’s scanner.
Aside from scanning Minor Arcana Tarot Cards, the scanner is also handy for surveying the environment. V’s scanner will highlight all enemies, including any behind cover when using these optics within 17.5m. They can also highlight cameras and turrets within 35m and all explosive devices and traps within 28m.
It’s an excellent upgrade that provides V with lots of information, allowing you to plan combat encounters. Many Side Jobs and Gigs involve entering dangerous locations filled with hostile machines and traps. Seeing and avoiding these threats gives V a crucial advantage when doing mercenary work.
The Reinforced Tendons Cyberware was among the best Cyberware in ,even before the latest update. Following the overhaul, they’ve been slightly reworked and improved. Having Reinforced Tendons allows V to double jump, which may seem like a minor upgrade, at least on paper. However, in practice, there are countless situations where double jumping proves useful.
Apart from combat encounters, certain Gigs also become much easier to complete with a double jump. V can jump to previously inaccessible areas, bypassing guards and security systems and finding simpler, shorter routes to their objective. It’s great for builds that focus on being quick, quiet, and efficient. On top of that, they’re also now attuned to V’s Reflexes stat, granting an extra 0.1% boost to Crit Chance for each point V puts into their Reflexes stat.
Most Frontal Cortex Cyberware is designed to benefit hacking-based builds in ; when equipped with Memory Boost, V gains additional RAM for each enemy they neutralize, allowing them to unleash additional quick hacks. Luckily, this isn’t limited to Quickhack kills, so a series of quick kills allows V to regenerate their RAM
