Zombie Army VR announced for PS VR2, SteamVR, and Quest 2 and 3

A recent rumor has claimed that Dragon Ball FighterZ developer Arc System Works and its publisher, Bandai Namco, have supposedly split ties. The latest update for Dragon Ball FighterZ was dropped near the end of February, adding rollback netcode to improve its online environment, as well as new PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions. While these features were things fans had waited years for, gameplay clips show that the new update has broken the game in various ways.

While 11 bit Studios had announcements for Frostpunk 2 and The Alters at the Xbox Partner Showcase, it also revealed a new title –Creatures of Ava. Developed by Inverge Studios, it’s coming to PC and Xbox  Series X/S while launching day one on Game Pass. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Third-person, narrative-driven, action adventure game Unknown 9: Awakening will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam this summer, publisher Bandai Namco and developer Reflector Entertainment announced.

Bandai Namco’s extraction shooter Synduality Echo of Ada doesn’t have a release date yet, but it could be on track for this year. The publisher announced a closed beta for March 28th to April 1st on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC via Steam. Sign-ups are currently available – check out the latest gameplay below.

CyberStep visual novel game brand Rabbitfoot has announced Natsume Ryouran: High-Spec Noukin Youko no Renai Kitan for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, PC (Steam, BOOTH, DLsite), iOS, and Android. It will launch first for Switch and PC this summer in Japan.

As the video games industry violently contracts to ensure shareholder satisfaction at the cost of making thousands upon thousands of people unemployed, Skylanders studio Toys For Bob have announced they're splitting from Activision Blizzard and Microsoft to go independent. Good for them, but maybe too late for some. Earlier this month, the San Francisco Chronicle reported that it seemed Activision Blizzard were closing Toys For Bob's California headquarters and laying off 86 people. Still, the new independent Toys For Bob say they're working on something new and "exploring a possible partnership" with Microsoft.

Current Crash and Spyro developer Toys For Bob is spinning itself out of Activision Blizzard.

Toys for Bob — the Activision Blizzard studio behind the likes of Skylanders, Crash Bandicoot 4, and the Spyro remasters — has announced it's parting ways with Activision to become an independent company once more. It also says it's «exploring a possible partnership» with Microsoft as development on its new game gets underway.

The MMORPG Camelot Unchained, funded through Kickstarter nearly eleven years ago with $2.2 million, will finally be released late next year. The news comes today from developer City State Entertainment, which is rebranding as Unchained Entertainment.

Skylanders and Crash Bandicoot developer Toys for Bob has announced plans to go independent.

Netherlands-based studio Feel Free Games has announced farming adventure RPG Luma Island for PC (Steam). It will launch in 2024.

GamesRadar has announced that the Future Games Show Spring Showcase will return on March 21st. Airing at 1 PM PDT, it features over 40 titles from publishers like The Chinese Room, Bandai Namco, Quantic Dream and more. Actors Samantha Béart, who voices Karlach in Baldur’s Gate 3, and Ben Starr, the voice of Clive from Final Fantasy 16, will be hosting.
