Microsoft has announced that it will be hosting the Xbox Games Showcase on June 9th, and that this will be followed by a [Redacted] Direct. All we know is that the game being shown after is part of a “beloved franchise”, and that it will be a deep dive. The logo that represents the [Redacted] Direct seems to be a three headed dog, aka Cerberus. Cerberus has been part of or referenced in lots of franchises.
The logo leaves a lot open to interpretation, but one possibility is a new Call of Duty: Black Ops. Cerberus is name of a demonic dog head in the zombie modes of some of the Black Ops games, and the colour palette matches too. It is unlikely to be Fable as there is no three headed dog, or nod to Cerberus in that. The same goes for the Gears of War franchise. The Redacted theme would also play into the Black Ops series too.
All of the rumours have been that The Coalition is building up to the announcement and reveal of the next Gears game, so that is probably the best bet you could take right now.
The time of the Xbox Showcase and [Redacted] Showcase are as follows:
You will be able to watch the showcase on YouTube.com/Xbox, Twitch.tv/Xbox, Twitch.tv/XboxASL, and Facebook.com/Xbox.
