Ubisoft's newest financial report confirmed an official release window for the next Assassin's Creed game, known as Codename Red. The next Assassin's Creed title will be set in feudal Japan and has created significant amounts of hype following previous leaks.
Recently, new Assassin's Creed Red leaks made their way onto the internet and claimed that a reveal is coming this May, followed by a gameplay showcase in July at Ubisoft Forward. The leaks also claimed that Assassin's Creed Red would be released in November of this year. Fans weren't entirely sure how much credence they could give to these leaks, but Ubisoft's recent financial report seems to offer them credibility.
Ubisoft's 2024 third-quarter sales report revealed that Assassin's Creed Red will be released during fiscal year 2025, which runs from April 2024 to March 2025. The previously leaked release window of November 2024 falls right in the middle of this time period. Assassin's Creed Red was officially revealed back in 2022, so the game's approaching release is a long time coming for many fans of the franchise. Previous comments from developers revealed that Red will be the first Assassin's Creed to be completely current-gen, which seems to strongly suggest that it won't be released on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Ubisoft is aiming for Assassin's Creed Red to feature a more dynamic world that evolves and reacts to the player as they travel through it, including the wear and tear of individual items on a user's character. Furthermore, Ubisoft previously confirmed that Assassin's Creed Redwill receive multiple post-launch expansions as well as additional post-launch content that can't be revealed yet.

Ubisoft's financial report described the highly anticipated Star Wars Outlaws as a «major milestone» within the gaming industry.
