It's been 14 years since the last Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles game, and you'd certainly be forgiven for thinking the series is over and done with, but according to producer Akitoshi Kawazu, that isn't the case.

It’s sometimes very easy to forget that video games aren’t just businesses; they’re businesses with a lot going on and have to deal with success and failure at multiple levels. For example, several of the biggest developers/publishers have stocks that they do their best to keep up, and thus stockholders for them to please. When a company does well, its stock tends to go up. In contrast, when they do poorly or something doesn’t meet expectations, their stock tends to fall a bit. Square Enix recently released an earnings report, which apparently didn’t make people too happy.

Last year, SNK confirmed that it was working on a new instalment in the Fatal Frame / Garou series. A year on, the Japanese company has revealed what its official title is going to be, and offered another brief new look at it with a new teaser.

Atlus has been doing its best to churn out its mega-hit JRPG franchise as possible, and one of the ways they’re doing it is with Persona 5 Tactica. The game, which comes out in November, will take the Phantom Thieves to a new part of the Metaverse where things are truly warped and need saving. The game has already shown a kingdom where we meet the revolutionary Erina and fight against a wicked ruler bent on dominating others while finding her “one true love.” But today, we got a second trailer that showcased many new details about the upcoming title.

Sonic Superstars is attempting to recapture that classic Sonic feeling, though it will be bringing a few new elements to the franchise. A villain named Trip is preparing to make her debut, and though she’s decked out in spiky armor, she won’t be your typical Sonic enemy. In an interview with Game Informer, Sonic Team creative officer Takashi Iizuka discussed a bit more about Trip’s origins and role in Sonic Superstars.
